Which Promising Career Is Best for You?
Do you want to head forward or maintain where you are?
That is a pretty hard question to answer when you do not have a possible clue what you are meant to be or do! There comes a time where we all have to start somewhere. When most of us were young, we probably started working in a shop as a sales assistant or at a bar or a supermarket store. Those were or are the typical jobs to do when a majority of us look into making money. It’s a start, and it is the beginning of experiencing things since not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouths.
When you don't come from a rich background, your main focus at one point in your life is making quick money, saving, paying your bills, or starting your own business.
Nevertheless, those are not always our main goals. We need to begin to look at a more steady profession, which is why you go to college and take a degree or courses on a subject or area you want to get into to. However, not everyone has become successful by taking a degree or courses. They either pursued their own set of skills and ideas, or created their own business.
Some people know precisely what they are good at, and some don’t, and it's ok not to know, don’t panic. We tend to freak out in those situations, like, "I don’t know what to do with myself, I’m stuck in a crap job, my friend Janice (or Michael) have found their dream job. I’m still stuck here, and I am not going anywhere!!!" I advise you to stop! Breathe gently… everything will work out somehow. Stop looking at other individual’s situations, and focus on your own life to achieve your goals and how you can begin step by step:
- Determination
- Hunger
- Hard work
- Patience
Where to properly begin? Before you proceed in the direction to get enough experience and a degree in an area that you are interested in, see what career would satisfy you. You can do that by completing quizzes to see what things you are good at or what skills you have.
What can you see yourself succeed as, having your business? Being a doctor? Being a makeup artist? Being a physician? At that point, when you properly finish considering that long-term career you decided to proceed with, you have to make conscious decisions in terms of:
- Is it the proper job for you?
- Am I capable?
- Have I got the skills?
- Can I see myself progressing in this career long term?
- Am I in it for the money or the passion? That, I answer for you, go with both! You need money to make a living, yes! You also need to be passionate about what you do.
Otherwise, you will be miserable and will only just be in for the money. Money itself doesn’t bestow happiness on you, don’t misunderstand that with stability.
Now, begin evaluating everything I mentioned and take it all in. Once you have completed all from the above start by:
- Before sending your CV to employees, make sure your CV stands out! Is it accurate? Readable? Does it have a strong sense of words to show you possess a good vocabulary? Does the whole context fall into place: experience, education, dates, hobbies interests? If you express any doubts, you can ask a friend or a family member to voice their opinion.
- Prepare yourself for the interview and do the best you can do!
- Go with the mindset "I got this!"
- Plus, if you are hesitant about how to go to be ready for an interview, on any search engine, examine samples of interview questions. Make sure you look for interview questions for the position you went at the end.
Good luck!
