According to the US National Association of Realtors, most home buyers tend to use a mobile device to search for properties online. They look at websites with photos, home listings, and information about the home buying process before contacting an agent and visiting the property. It can be seen that looking home online has become a routine and this means real estate agents should keep an eye on their online presence.

If you are real estate agents and looking for some ideas on how to improve your online presence, here are some core ideas to master your real estate content strategy.

1. Make your website super user-friendly

The first thing you should take a look at is your website. Your website is the place where you can showcase all of your work, your information about your business and even about you. Having a user-friendly website will help you keep the potential clients on your sites, looking at your work and trigger them to make a purchase.

On your site, it is important to navigate well all the sections so that visitors can easily view. It is necessary to have a search box with ways to filter by location, date of listing, property type, and price (or rent), so that viewers can easily search for listings they want.

The language of the site should be clear, unambiguous, and precise. Try not to add too many promotion ads on your site. Your website speed is also a matter. No one wants to visit a site which takes a lot of time to load a photo.

The last thing you need to pay attention to is contact information. It is the main way the visitors can contact you and ask for more information or schedule a visit. Therefore, try to provide as detail as possible your contact information to avoid missing potential customers.

2. Connect with target groups via email marketing campaigns

Basing on the traffic from websites is not enough. Large companies usually combine different strategies to get as many customers as possible. Using email marketing campaigns is one of the best ways to nurture leads into loyal clients.

If you have a list of customers’ email which you build from website enquiries, previous sales, and social media, you can start an email campaign right away.

The important thing is to tailor email content to specific customer profiles – with calls to action that make sense for the stage they have reached in the customer journey.

3. Invest properly in digital advertising

The most popular digital marketing channels are google Advertising and Facebook Advertising. You can choose one of them to run a paid digital marketing campaign or you can run both of them.

For Facebook advertising, you can approach your target audiences and it is the best strategy to create lead generations. You will pay per the number of people who reach your ads or per engagements, messages… It depends on the purpose of the campaign

With google advertising, it seems easier and more cost - effective when you only need to pay per click (PPC). It means you only need to pay when clients actually click them, and they can also generate high-value leads. However, if you don’t have a proper knowledge of setting up a google Advertising campaign, it can cost you a lot of money. Therefore, be aware of using the right keywords with the right ads and bids, and remember to toggle location options to catch searches by people in the correct area.

If you are not good about digital advertising, it is a smart idea to hire a digital marketer to do it for you. They will know how to optimize your advertising campaign but still reach the KPIs you offer.

4. Take content, SEO, and social media seriously

Do you have social media accounts? Do you think you are using them effectively? Do your clients come through social media? If your answer is yes, then congratulations. You are the owner of the game.

If not, you should take time to optimize your social media, make use of them to build brand awareness. You can schedule posts on social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,... and post them on the certain time of the day. Try to use the most appealing real estate photographs of your listing to attract the potential clients. You also can diversify the content of the posts by using real estate video, VR house tours, or your live-streams. Posts also should be connected with your blogs to gain more follows and traffic to your blogs.

The foundations of a strong content strategy include social media, blogging, driving traffic with targeted PPC ads, creating websites that are efficient, informative, and mobile-friendly – and generally building a presence that customers can trust. Understanding this, and focusing on mastering them, your business will definitely attract a lot of clients.
