Focus. What is it? How important is it?

People tend to defocus every now and then. Focus is a major distraction by itself. You have to distract yourself from everything else to focus on that one very important task at hand. Anyhow, in order to have focus, one must silence the noises from the surrounding. Take time to relax, rewind, and get back to your main priority in life. There are always something else to disturb you, derail you, and remove you from what you are currently focusing on. But let not that demoralize you, because I have a few methods to have focus. Anyway, let's start with one of the four focusing methods I will show you:

1. Imagine the outcome

Imagining the outcome is very important when you want to focus on the task at hand. By imagining the outcome you will eventually get by completing the task, you will plough on and on, removing any distractions or hindrances that might stop you in your tracks. The outcome is sweet, it is reward, it is the finishing line, who will be stopped in their tracks? Would you? Anyone will muster enough strength to go through anything in order to reach this end state. By combining persistent work and this imagination of the final reward, you will definitely be focused at your work!

2. Take care not to stray off

It is important to stay put and have a steel focus, doing whatever is needed until you reaches the end. Take care not to stray off and feed your mind with anything else other than what you are supposed to be focused with doing. For example, do not browse your forums, emails, or went on for a jog while you are trying to complete your latest coding works. Otherwise, you may not return for a while to your original task or maybe you will abandon it forever!

3. Play sane

In order to be focused, make sure everything you are doing is sane. For example, do not be gambling away your fortune thinking that you could keep focus doing it. Because in the end this is unwanted focus. A detrimental focus. As long as you know that what you are doing is sane, nothing could stop you from doing it. Furthermore, do not make ado with doing the same thing over and over again, if it does not serve you, as it is not very sane being like that!

4. Have light heartedness

Play well that you might feel enjoyable fun while doing your task instead of feeling stress, suffering, or pain while doing your task so that you will not loose focus. Feel light hearted as in feeling not too burdened while working that you will go through your task being the most focused and painless. In order to be light hearted, focus instead on the most enjoyable parts of the task. Besides that, you may put on some music while focusing on your task.

Focus has never been any less important in any business settings. Focus brings you to places, to greater heights, to a more distance location. When you can focus, you will be able to put in all of yourself towards that particular task, that assignment, or job. Nothing else in the world matters more than what you are focusing on, because you know where you are heading, to a destination where the rewards are the greatest in fulfillments and satisfactions. Through focusing, you never waste a single minute doing non useful, unrelated, and unsatisfactory stuffs. All you do is making sure you keep your heads high and reach your goal.

That's all about focus. What do you think about this story? Leave some comments, tips, or subscribe to me if you like my story!
