Once you continue to formulate a response to a question about the culture of your company, take the time to brainstorm the culture of your company in its entirety and what it means to you. It is an important issue for both you and your future employer.

How to answer questions about your perfect organizational culture?

Here are some questions for you when you look at the organization's workplace culture: are employees involved in decision making at all levels?

  • Does the organization have a consistent mission and strategic plan and are they communicated clearly to employees?  
  • Is teamwork and collaboration worthwhile?  
  • Are employees rewarded on the basis of merit or is political favoritism more important?
  • Does the organization encourage entrepreneurship and innovation?  
  • Is there a promotion pattern from within?  
  • Does the company invest heavily in training and professional development?  
  • Are leaders and veterans encouraged to serve as mentors?  
  • Is there a fun element for employees working there?  
  • Are employees given the flexibility to meet external needs and interests?

How to Prepare an Answer to the Question?

Write down your answers to the questions listed above. Now that you consider these aspects, you can prepare yourself for this question by dividing the process into three parts.

Create a profile of your ideal corporate culture.

What exactly are you looking for in the culture of your company?

Research your target employer's culture.

Go to your site. The sections "On Us" and "Career" should provide insights on how culture is. For their social media pages, below. Right before your interview, you can even get insights into questions about company culture. Ask the workers you encounter early in the recruitment process to describe the atmosphere of the organisation.

Google search "(company name) reviews" to produce a list of sites with feedback on the organization from existing or past employees. Are they getting good reviews? What do they say about working and cultural conditions?

One of the best ways of gaining an unbiased view of corporate culture is to connect with current and former employees. You may know an employee who works for the company or know somebody who knows somebody who works there.

Search LinkedIn to see if you have contacts at your company or if you are connected to your primary contacts and ask for a culture description.Once you understand the culture of the company, decide which parts of your ideal profile you want to include in your answer.

Show your boss how you add value

While you want to analyze closely how the atmosphere in your target company suits the expectations in order to make a good decision about the position, revealing the whole preferences list is typically not strategically advantageous.   You should keep some of these requirements to yourself.

Concentrate more on situations where the interests align with facets of the actual culture of the company. After all, no corporate culture can suit the standards exactly. If an organization values innovation, you may be interested in an organization supporting staff initiative.  

Furthermore, consider variables that demonstrate how you are going to bring value, rather than cultural elements to fulfill your personal needs. Factors such as training opportunities and professional development or rewards for high performance levels may be less important to you.

Is This the Right Company Culture For You?

It is important to carefully evaluate the culture of the organization and decide if it suits you. Whether you believe that the details you consider while you are searching for might not fit in it, there is no point in trying to persuade the boss that you are a good match for the role.  

Test whether you are in the right position before you proceed with the application process. Once you decide it is a go, it is time for an interview.

Extra Tips

The interviewer will ask additional questions to see how you blend into the atmosphere of your business and whether you perform well. The interviewer will also ask you specific questions.
