Hundreds of new websites pop up online every single minute of every day. Starting a blog is not just a popular hobby anymore - it's so much more than that.

Whether you want to advance an existing business or to create a new one, launching a site is the way to go.

Owning a blog is beneficial on so many levels.

For example, it will increase your brand awareness, help people see you as an expert, improve your sales if you do any, etc.

Before you start reaping any of these benefits, though, you'll have to take care of one essential task first.

And that would be learning how to drive free traffic to your web pages.

You may wonder - what's so complicated about that?

It turns out getting thousands of page views from the search engines every day is not as easy as you may think.

Here are some helpful ideas that will show you how to drive an unlimited amount of traffic to your blog:

1) Start Doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) From Day One - Your website will never welcome many readers unless you bother to learn all about SEO. Search engine optimization will allow you to rank your content on the first page of Google.

2) Learn How To Do Keyword Research - Don't underestimate the importance of choosing the right keyword to target. Many free tutorials online will walk you through the keyword research process.

3) Write About Topics Many People Are Searching Online - There is no reason why you should publish content no one is looking for. The more popular your content ideas are, the more page views you'll get.

4) Use Google Analytics - Google Analytics is an incredible tool you can use for free. Being able to look at essential blog metrics daily will help you adjust your content marketing strategy accordingly.

5) Publish Helpful Content - You can't blog about anything that comes to mind. Instead, create articles that solve problems and answer questions for your readers.

6) Update Your Blog Posts Regularly - Blogging is not a one-time activity. On the contrary, you should revisit your articles at least once a year and give them a makeover to keep the information up-to-date.

7) Create Infographics - Infographics are powerful tools that will not only increase your traffic but will help you receive quality backlinks as well. Take advantage of that and learn how to create professional infographics.

8) Comment On Other Blogs - Leaving comments on other sites is somewhat of an unpopular activity. It still works well for traffic, though!

9) Do Guest Blogging - Creating a blog post for somebody else is always a smart move. Going in that direction will boost your page views and help you establish connections with other experts in your niche.

10) Create A YouTube Channel - You may not be fond of the idea of doing videos, but Google is! Including a video in your article will keep your visitors longer on the page.

11) Answer Questions - I'm not talking only about the questions you'll get on your site. Visit online platforms where potential readers are and answer the questions they have.

12) Do Email Marketing - Building an email list from the get-go is a must if you take your site seriously. It doesn't hurt that sending an email about your latest post will instantly get you tons of page views.

13) Create A Free Online Course - Becoming a successful blogger will never happen unless you provide free value to your audience. Launching a course your readers don't have to pay for is great for traffic too.

Quite frankly, these are not the only strategies to increase your blog traffic that work.

There are many more you should become familiar with and start using daily.
