5 Best Digital Advertising trend in 2021

The most effective digital marketing strategies have always changed over time, but the changes we've seen this year are far more dramatic than we've ever seen before, and that makes sense, right? 2020 has thrown us all a lot of curveballs, and we've had no choice but to adapt, so in this article, we'll look at all of the newest trends that have been gaining traction this year, as well as what's working particularly effectively in this pandemic year.

(1) The emergence of the do-it-yourself(DIY) website

Our website needs to be the central hub of all of your digital marketing, but businesses like yours have been hit particularly hard this year, so how do you invest in your site when money is probably tighter than usual? That's where the DIY aspect comes into play, as there are a plethora of online tools available to help you build a website while saving money.

(2) User-generated content

User-generated content (UGC) refers to the videos, photographs, and reviews that you see your favorite brands sharing regularly. They are open, honest, and quite relatable. User-generated content is now used by almost 86 percent of businesses as part of their marketing plan.

Now, this isn't quite new, but, much like live streaming in 2020, user-generated content marketing has taken off. More businesses are using social media to sell their products than ever before, but not in the way you're used to seeing paid advertisements.

(3) Social media group

A social media group allows you to have a highly engaged group of people who are there to learn from, be inspired, and receive support, and groups also allow them to interact with other like-minded people who share their goals and challenges. It's important to note that a group is not the same as your business page.

Your page is very different from your business page in that your business page is only for you to promote what you have to offer as a business and maybe share some material, whereas your groups are where you can connect, perform live videos, and publish daily micro assignments.

(4) Instagram Reel’s

Traditional advertisements, such as commercials, are ineffective.

Reels is an Instagram post that focuses on entertaining short-form video content, and the pandemic fueled the fire underneath of Instagram, which exploded in popularity during these months, and it was quite easy to post a video and have it seen by hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people.

Even though reels have been out for months, most people still don't know how to use them, and businesses are significantly underrepresented, so if you're stuck for ideas, you could make a short educational video or post inspirational content, or anything else to help people visualize that happier after state. You can demonstrate how your products or services work.

(5) Pinterest

What makes Pinterest so appealing to us is that it differs from Facebook in one important way. It's not a social platform, it's a search engine, so not only that, but 75% of Pinterest users say they're highly interested in discovering new products, companies, and services on the platform; in fact, 48% say finding new brands is the most important thing to them. And get this: 83 percent of Pinterest users have made purchasing decisions based on branded content.
