Customer Engagement Optimization: Using Cross-Platform Marketing
Keeping engaged with customers is more challenging than ever. We now need to worry about staying active on other platforms like Instagram and other social media channels.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that many online store owners are looking for ways to connect with their customers and keep them engaged. It helps them keep their brand in customers’ brains, which could lead to repeat purchases.
However, keeping engaged with customers is more challenging than ever. Although eCommerce platforms like Shoplazza and Shopify integrate many marketing tools into their systems, people still find it difficult to make the most of them.
We now need to worry about staying active on other platforms like Instagram and other social media channels. In this article, you’ll learn how to improve your customer engagement through cross-platform marketing.
#1 - Get a CRM software
Now more than ever, we need tools to keep ourselves effective. One of the essential ones is none other than CRM software.
CRM is short for customer relationship management, and it helps to have all the data about your customers in one place. That includes all the purchases and other necessary information you need.
That can help you quickly get the necessary information to help your clients. Make sure to get one! Some good ones include Hubspot and Pipedrive.
#2 - Have a Central Platform
Since you’re looking to market your business cross-platform, there’s an issue where you could land. That one is that you could be confused about where your central platform is.
That happens when you redirect to other channels such as Twitter, email list, Facebook, etc. While that might help boost followers or subscribers, it won’t help you with sales.
Instead, I suggest you mainly redirect your traffic to your eCommerce store. It not only will you get traffic to your dropshipping store, but you’ll also be able to get more sales.
#3 - Create Engaging Content on Social Media Consistently
One of the best ways to stay memorable for your customers is to use social media. It’s where most of them spend their free time, so why not remind them of you with some social media posts?
However, when you do that, you need to remember one thing – you need to do it consistently. If you don’t, you’ll lose the momentum you've gained and won’t reach as many people! Make sure you pump out content regularly and make it valuable and engaging.
#4 - Repost & Repurpose Content
From the last tip, you might have noticed that creating valuable content will take a lot of work. While that’s true, there are a couple of ways to ease the load:
- Repurpose Content: For example, if you make an informative YouTube video, then you could use it to upload it as a podcast episode.
- Repost Content: While that might feel lazy, sharing some of your best posts is okay. Besides, your new followers don’t know that, so they’ll get to experience it too.
#5 - Engage With Your Customers on Social Media
To be successful on social media or any other platform, you need to make sure of two things:
- Make great content consistently.
- Create a connection with your followers/subscribers.
For instance, when someone comments on your latest post, you shouldn’t ignore that. Instead, you should take a minute or two to reply to them.
That shows you care about the people and will probably engage more if they do not buy from you. While the primary purpose of it is to schedule posts to multiple social media sites, it can also be used to reply to your audience.
But instead of switching between apps and resisting the urge to scroll through the feed, you get to reply to them on one central platform with no distraction in sight.
