In this post we’re going to go over some simple marketing techniques, anyone can apply to grow their businesses online.

Use social media

Social media isn’t really something you can pass on this time and age.

Social media holds a lot of potential for businesses and individuals alike.

Once you start posting content on social media you might not feel there are many backers for your content. But that will change for the better and posts begin to gather some needed momentum.

Don’t be in a hurry to hire social media managers. The best thing you can do is to be authentic.

Be yourself. Be transparent. Post about your products and anything else you might find relevant and interesting based on what your niche is.

The goal is to help your audience and not toot your horn all the while. People should find your content as useful.

Also on Instagram and Snapchat use direct messages to connect with your audience. This helps you engage with them and is a powerful way of directing people to products and or services. You can also repurpose podcasts to post as video tutorials on social media.

Create video tutorials

Video is getting bigger and bigger by the day. If you want to get the word out on your content use video tutorials. Teach people through video. Walk them through a given process step by step with videos.

Videos convey a lot of value.

The more value you create the more visibility you boost and this has a direct impact on your sales.

YouTube is an equally big search engine as Google and whenever people want to learn something they flock to YouTube. Even I myself watched over a 100 recipe videos during this lockdown and quarantine. Promote these videos through a qr code generator.

If you want to learn something, where do you go?

So think what’s relevant to your business that can be taught? What’s the pain point you can solve?

You might be terrified of appearing before the camera. Skip the fear and start working hard and present yourself in the most authentic way possible.

Start blogging now

Anybody can start a blog.

The thing is: to make it successful.

Blogging is a mundane activity for most because people lack the guts to make blogs successful.

They lack the guts to give it visibility.

Blog can be as successful or lacklustre as you make it to be. You should know what you’re doing. Be it product guides or anything else, the content should provide value.

That means gaining some expertise around the subject first.

You should also blog on third party platforms like Medium. Contribute to Reddit. Answer questions you see on Quora. Get on LinkedIn and republish your articles. You can also find similar platforms for podcasts. Medium is a place where you can find many entrepreneurs blogging as well.

Find and join all places that sport a massive audience.

You will expand your reach.

Also never post thin pointless content. The goal is to be useful to people. Give people value so they become an authority figure.

Use seo for your benefit

SEO is something you should be passionate about.

Why?

Because it really levels the playing field.

SEO is not something to be afraid of.

SEO has rules and lots of things to follow and learn.

SEO is however really powerful. SEO rests on content and backlinks. If you master these two things then SEO is going to be really easy for you. You can leverage it the right way and earn and rank as many sites as you want.

However there’s one thing to be concerned about. Shady stuff like PBNs or link schemes don’t really blind Google any more. In the short term you get some rankings. But over the long term your business can be booted out of Google.

The simplest thing not to do is spam your site and anchors with keywords. Keyword stuffing doesn't work.

Similarly paying for links is extremely risky.

Always rely on genuine guest posting. Ultimately manage your time well.
