What Is Email Marketing?

Because so many people use email, businesses use this channel to advertise and interact with followers. Typically, a business will have an email list that people who are interested can sign up for. They can simply transfer a design or PSD to email, and start promoting and informing clients. It’s a great way to connect with people, especially if they enjoy reading your emails or want to know what’s new.

Why Email Marketing?

Although it may be harder to catch the attention of readers or get them to join your list, it’s a lot more effective than social media at gaining leads. If you want to really convert leads into clients, you’ll need specifically targeted emails that can encourage them to buy from you.

It’s also cost-effective and easy to start a marketing campaign. Compared to other spending, email marketing generates more money from each dollar spent. And it is fairly easy to design an email. Simply put in a few designs, have a call to action button or link and watch the magic happen.

So how can you take advantage of an email campaign? Here are three tips that can help you make an email campaign look stunning and get results.

Start Branding

Although you can make an email look attractive a hundred different ways, one of the greatest assets of marketing is consistency. Make sure that everything you display, write or sell is consistent with your brand. That also includes the tone of voice, fonts and colors you use.

It makes sense why branding is so important. You want people to start recognizing what you look like and stand for. If you keep changing, not only will it confuse potential leads, but it can take away the trust you’ve gained from customers. Customers want to be able to trust you, and you can maintain that trust through what you display.

So how do you brand your emails? Start by adding the logo to the top of each email, making it the first thing that customers see. Then pick a color palette that matches the branding you already have and stick with it.

Because emails are content-heavy, find your voice. Is your company more personal or professional sounding? Are you striving to humor or educate people? Quality content can draw people in as much as pictures or videos well. That being said, always make the subject title of your emails catchy and appealing.

Get Visual

Content is great if it is designed well. Keep paragraphs short and concise. Some emails may work better if it is picture-based with only a few headers or descriptions. If you are selling products, use appealing pictures of the things that are on sale. If you are selling services, highlight a few pictures of your team.

Links are also very important. If placed well, they lead customers to your website to purchase items. May sure to include a few calls to action, and display links to your social media accounts so that followers can connect with you even more.

Have a Schedule

An email campaign won’t do anything if you irregularly send them. Find a schedule that works best for your company’s needs and stick to it. Many businesses post 2-3 times a week or more. Avoid spamming your followers and be conscious of their needs. When sending emails, try to always have something of value to give to your audience. Try creating a calendar with email objectives so that you stay on track.

Email marketing can be a great asset if you do it right. Study your target market and develop your brand to create the perfect set of emails to send. If you need more people on the email list, consider using social media, advertisements and coupons to attract new followers. Now get going!
