Using a virtual assistant can not only save you money but also allows you to have more free time in your life. Most virtual assistants (VAs) are freelance workers who complete their tasks from home and spend most of their day helping improve your lives. A virtual assistant can fall into two categories, a general VA or a specialized VA. General VAs focus on administrative tasks including email management, calendar management, personal tasks, and more. Where as a specialized VA, focus a certain niche, blogging, websites, and even graphic design. However, there are some virtual assistants who do both specialized and general work... like me!

So what type of work can you outsource to both a specialized and general VA?

Well I decided to list 10 things you can out source and explain each one in detail.

1. Research:

A virtual assistant can help a client by researching a variety of topics for their blogs but also for their businesses. Research can include marketing or industry information, blog topics, upcoming event information and even how-tos. The virtual assistant will find the information and send it to you, which allows you to receive all necessary information without you having to lift a finger.

2. Developing Presentations:

A VA can create your presentations for you, they can design, format, add content, and any special effects you ask for. In fact, you have the choice of sending the content and letting them format or having a virtual assistant do the entire thing from finding content to formatting the presentation for you. Leaving the only thing for you to do is to present it!

3. Email Management:

A VA can manage your email lists, draft and send emails from you, and clean out your inbox frequently. Email management is very important and letting a VA delete all spam, star important emails, and red flag anything not important is very business efficient . In addition, virtual assistants can draft emails to your customers, employees, friends, family, or anyone you know. Emails can be anything from a simple hi to an email newsletter or marketing tactic.

4. Calendar Management:

Virtual assistants can manage your calendar and scheduling for you too! Calendar management is as important as email management. Your virtual assistant can not only schedule any client appointments, but also clean out your calendar and delete any events no longer needed. In addition, your VA can book any appointments, restaurant reservations, and more.

5. Data Organization:

A VA can help an individual organize their computer files, dropbox, and google drive. After your VA is finished cleaning, you will be able to find everything easier and more efficient.

6. Project Management:

Virtual assistants can manage all projects and track timelines. Project management is very important to small businesses who have multiple clients. Your virtual assistant can overlook projects and manage deadlines. All you have to do is send them what needs managing!

7. Personal Tasks:

A VA can help you with all personal tasks including online purchases and personal research. Virtual assistants can make any online shopping purchases and grocery shopping deliveries with the use of your card. Looking to find a recipe for tonight's dinner that kid friendly? Your virtual assistant can find as many recipes as you want on a variety of dishes. Looking for different babysitters in your local area who are free on Fridays, your VA can find a list of babysitters that fit the requirements you're looking for.

8. Typing & Data Entry:

A virtual assistant can write all the reports you need, your VA can rewrite documents in other formats. There are two ways to complete this, one, you can find the content and the VA will write and format the report or two, the virtual assistant can do the entire thing for you from start to finish. In addition, VAs can find data and use the data in documents or spreadsheets.

9. Content Repurposing:

If your are interested in starting or have a blog, specialized VAs can transform any content into a professionally written blog posts. In addition, virtual assistant can use content from a youtube channel or even find important parts from content that you have sent them. Likewise, the virtual assistant can transform content into a posts that fits the client's requirements.

10. Blog Posts Maintenance & Ghost Writing:

Blogs require content but also maintenance, such as formatting, editing, proofreading, and scheduling posts. A specialized virtual assistant can review your blog posts for any formatting or editing issues. All posts can also be proofread for grammar or spelling errors. In addition, VAs can schedule your blog posts for you or even go as far to post on your behalf. Looking for more than posting or formatting, virtual assistant that have a niche in blogging can also write all your posts on your behalf and make them seem as if you wrote them.
