CBC Test: CBC is a complete blood test of blood. This gives your provider a clue about your blood and overall health. CBC helps providers diagnose, monitor and screen for a wide range of diseases, conditions, disorders and infections. Your provider takes a sample of blood and your lab results are usually ready within a few hours.

Then a blood test happens! When a blood sample is taken from the body for testing in a laboratory. The doctor can check the level of glucose, hemoglobin or white blood cells. Let’s order a blood test to check things. This can help them diagnose problems like a disease or a medical condition. Sometimes, blood tests can help them see how well an organ, such as the liver or kidneys, is working.

What is CBC Test?

Cbc (CBC) is a complete blood test (CBC) group. Red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC) and evaluates the cells circulating in the blood, including platelets (PLT). CBC CBC test can evaluate your overall health! and can detect various diseases and conditions such as infection, anemia and leukemia.

Blood cells are mainly produced and matured in the bone marrow. and are released into the bloodstream under normal circumstances, as needed.

What Doe’s measure CBC test?

A CBC CBC test measures the amount of 4 types of cells in your blood.

1: WBC White Blood Cell Count

A white blood cell count, also known as a leukocyte count. Measures the total number of white blood cells in a blood sample. These cells protect the body from infection by attacking invading bacteria, viruses and other foreign materials in the body. Some white blood cells can even attack cancer cells.

White Blood Cell Differential: A white blood cell difference measures the number of each type of white blood cell. There are 5 major types of white blood cells, and each type plays a different role in protecting the body. Your doctor can get valuable information about your health by measuring the levels of these cells which are:

Neutrophils

Lymphocytes

Monocytes

Eosinophils

Basophiles

2: RBC Red Blood Cell Count

Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your body. A red blood cell count, also called an erythrocyte count, measures the number of red blood cells in a sample of blood. There are many ways to measure red blood cells, the most common of which are two.

Hematocrit (HCT): The percentage of your blood that is made up of red blood cells.

Hemoglobin (Hgb): The amount of protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen.

3: Platelets Platelets

Platelet count measures the number of platelets in a blood sample. Platelets help stop bleeding by forming blood clots. CBC test in Hindi

Each of these types of cells has a normal range of volume. Your health care team will note this limit on your CBC lab results. A range is used instead of a specific number because a general amount varies from person to person.

4: MCV Mean Corpuscular Volume

(MCV) This is the average size of your red blood cells. If they are larger than normal, your MCV will be higher! This can happen if you have low levels of vitamin B12 or folate. If your red blood cells are small, you may have a type of anemia.

Which disease diagnosed by CBC test?

CBC test can help detect various conditions. Including anemia of various etiologies, autoimmune disorders, bone marrow disorders, dehydration, infection, inflammation, hemoglobin abnormalities, leukemia, low platelets, lymphoma. Myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, and cancer that has spread to the bone marrow, etc.

How to collect the sample for CBC test

To take a blood sample, a tourniquet (elastic) band is tightened over the upper arm. And the patient is asked to clench his fist. It helps in the formation of blood in the veins. And collecting blood becomes easier! The skin is cleaned before the needle is inserted to prevent bacteria from entering.
