Valentine's Ideas That Don't Require Much Thought
Romance on a Budget
When you first meet someone and fall in love, romance is new and exciting. You eat, sleep, and breathe romance. You are constantly thinking of the next romantic gesture to surprise your partner with. It's all about roses, candlelit dinners, and giving each other gifts to show how you feel.
So what happens when you and your partner have passed that "honeymoon" phase and romance isn't as important as it used to be anymore? Work and kids take up most of your time and when you do find a moment to yourselves, you just want to sleep. Sound familiar? You probably have even forgotten Valentine's Day is just around the corner. You did? Well, maybe these tips will help put a little romance in your relationship for at least one night.
Dinner
You both have to eat, right? Take the kids to the sitter's and have a nice dinner together. You don't have to make reservations at the fanciest place in town to have a nice, quiet meal. You can even cook something together at home but, whatever you decide, try to make a point of not talking about work, bills, or kids. Make the evening about the two of you.
Watch a Romantic Movie
Curl up on the couch or in bed and turn on a romantic movie and then talk about it after. There are plenty of movies out there that even a man who doesn't do "chick flicks" can enjoy. The Notebook and Fifty Shades are good ones.
Massages
Put on some soft music, light some candles, and take turns giving each other full body massages. This not only relaxes the body, but it can be very erotic as well. Massage oils can help to enhance the experience.
Sex
Take advantage of the alone time you have together to ignite that passion you had in the beginning. Take your time to explore your partner's body. Make it an orgasmic evening. There won't be anyone around to hear you.
Talk
Look into each other's eyes and express how you feel about one another. Remind each other about why you love them and state the reasons why they are the only one for you. Avoid talking about work, bills, and everyday stresses during this time. This night is just about the two of you.
Take a Walk
Take a stroll down the road or go to a local beach or park. Enjoy the fresh air as you and your partner walk hand in hand under the stars. That would also be another great opportunity to talk about the love you have for one another and your hopes and dreams for the future.
Exchange Love Letters
For some people, it can be difficult to express our feelings with words. Grab a pen and paper and write those feelings down. You will find it so much easier to say what you feel without actually saying it.
Love is priceless. You don't have to spend money to be romantic. There are so many ways to express how you feel without pulling out the wallet. You don't have to search for the perfect Valentine's gift when all he/she wants is your time and attention and that doesn't require any planning at all. Happy Valentine's Day!
