1/ WE (AS HUMANS ) ARE ALL THE SAME...

We are all fragile.. and a tiny invisible virus , deems us all , no matter what our age, sex, color or nationality..infallable to its desire to infiltrate our cells and make us sick.

2/ MOST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD ARE GOOD...

Having Covid 19 enter into our lives has thrown us all a curve ball.

But the best thing that I believe came out of it, was that we can all get through hard times when we have each others backs.

We have learnt how courageous, strong, brave , resilient, and determined we can be, and we have learnt empathy, compassion , kindness ,thoughtfulness, and the willingness to help our fellow man.

Be it big or small, the acts of kindness that have been shown around the world, make me feel proud to be a human being and that our little planet earth is full of decency and good hearts.

3/ WE DONT LIKE TO BE ALONE...

Being told to isolate, and being cut off from our family and friends, not being able to hug each other or hold our loved ones hands, has made us look at who the people are, that we really value having in our lives , by missing them and wishing that they could be by our sides.

4/ TECHNOLOGY CAN BE OUR FRIEND...

For the people that are lucky enough to have a screen, be it a phone or laptop, the video call has become one of the best inventions, when it came to staying connected during the pandemic.

Being able to share with each other in good times and bad, face to face or in groups of people, helped keep our spirits up, for being able to at least talk and see each other even if it was not in person.

And it made some people who were not in the know on how technology these days worked, to become a little more savvy and get up to date with the generation who has grown up with screens since birth.

5/ WE ALL HAVE THE SAME FEELINGS...

We all struggled with feelings and emotions since covid first appeared and nobody was immune.

Anxiety, sadness, overwhelm, anger, grief..to name just a few.

6/ PEOPLE SHOW THEIR TRUE COLOURS...

We all found out who our real family and friends were like, and who is really there for us in a crisis and will show up when you need them.

7/ GRATEFULNESS...

For me personally, it was the fact that we had an income still coming in, a roof over our head, any food in our stomachs (depending on if it was on the shelf of the supermarket) and of course ..toilet paper.

Not every one had all of the above, and i thanked my lucky stars every day that i did, and i made sure that i shared with my neighbours and helped out family and friends when we could.

8/ BETTER HYGIENE...

Hand washing, sanitizer, masks..we are all pros now.

9/SOCIAL DISTANCING..

When the person in front of us farted, had garlic breath, or bad body odour, we had less chance of being subjected to the pong.

and last but definitely not least...

10/ FRONTLINE WORKERS ARE HEROES..

To all of the doctors, nurses, hospital staff, supermarket workers, transport workers, postal workers, food service workers, small and big businesses, who kept us going globally, thank you is not enough.

Putting yourselves in harms way to look after us, feed us, keep our economy a float and make sure we had essentials delivered to us, while we were in lockdowns and isolation..you are all just incredible and should be so proud of yourselves.
