With our hectic schedules, we find it challenging to find time for friends and family. We may schedule a few drinks to catch up with our best friend, and go for a Sunday brunch to see our parents. But what about our marriage partners? We occasionally go on a weekly date night, but even that is not enough to truly relax and enjoy with your loved one. That is why everyone needs a romantic getaway. If you don’t have the time to go on a two-week vacation, a lovely romantic weekend will be a treat for both you and your beloved one. Here are a few amazing ideas for a dreamy weekend.

A relaxing spa getaway

Use the weekend to pamper yourselves, and to reenergize for a week ahead of you. Pack lightly and bring only the essentials, including your swimsuit and flowy dresses, and tell your husband to bring a couple of shorts and linen shirts. Book a couple’s massage that will further strengthen your relationship, and surprise your partner with a refreshing facial. Use this time to completely unwind, but also to explore the surroundings. No matter if you have opted for a spa weekend in Sydney or New York or any other location, do take an afternoon to go for a walk at a nearby beach or park, and fall in love again while holding hands with your beloved man.

A picnic under the stars

If you don’t have a lot of time to travel, but do want to get out of town, a picnic is a perfect choice. You can spend the whole day (or even two days if you bring a high-quality tent) in nature, enjoying the fresh air, and some delicious camping food. Make sure to bring a tasty cheese plate and some fine wine, and all the other ingredients needed for the preparation of your meals of choice. In addition, make sure to pack an extra blanket, in case it gets a bit chilly. This way, the two of you will be able to be warm under a cozy blanket while watching as the sun sets, and the stars start to appear. It doesn’t get much more romantic than this, doesn’t it?

Volunteer at a soup kitchen

Dedicating your weekend to this altruistic act will be a gift in itself. By helping the community, you will get to know more about life, but also about each other. A time well spent will certainly make you appreciate more of everything you have, including the unconditional love of your marriage partner. It will also remind the both of you to be grateful for all the loved ones you have in your life, and will be an important sign to always put family before all the stress and work you might have.

A fun cooking class

If both of you are foodies, this will be an amazing option to spend the weekend. There are plenty of classes that are held during the weekend, and a number of them are actually designed for couples, as they teach you how to make amorous meals that include aphrodisiac ingredients. Not only do you get to relish in some extraordinary meals, but you also learn how to make food that can truly spark love. Moreover, if you or your husband are not exceptionally skilled in the kitchen, this class will only be more adventurous and exciting.

An indulging weekend at home

There is no place like home, so you may decide to stay indoors and have the best time while watching your favorite movies and dancing to the music that brings about nostalgia. Take all the time you want to truly enjoy your couple’s morning coffee, and remind each other of all the fond memories you have of your love. Open a bottle of wine that you have been saving for a long time, get your husband to try out some of your beloved face masks together with you, and let the Cupid enchant you.

Start preparing for your romantic weekend on time!
