I’m a therapist by day and creative by night. I have something to say in a big way daily and today it is this my friends and fellow earthlings. Take a deep breath and lean in. Are you ready ?

Life as we know it is forever changed by this Global Pandemic. You are laughing likely and saying “ no kidding tell us something we don’t already know.”

Okay , here we go I believe we are about to shift things up in a big way. When I say “ we” I’m talking about collectively - the human race. Yes, the entire human spieces.

How you might ask?

It has already begun. This world event has shifted things, it has created ripples like sonic waves unseen yet spreading over the globe.

I’m not talking about the virus. I’m talking about human evolution and compassion. A levelling up, an individual and collective rising.

Hold on and hear me out.

World events are transformative. When we look back on history we can see proof of this occurring . This Pandemic has forced us to unite and come together in a unique and amazing way to heal the world.

It is the first time that the world inhabitants have worked together for a common goal. Pretty big don’t you think?

In the midst of uncertainty, grief and collective loss we have come together to support and love.

Regardless of politics and social class humans everywhere have become sensitive to life, love and human fragility.

There are other events going on simultaneously as well. Many that have taken backstage and others are interwoven. These are strange and complex times.

The world and humanity are changing because we are all experiencing the same problem although it affects everyone differently. In the midst of adversity we rise and fall. The collective wave is a contraction and expansion. Think about how science has worked to find vaccines and treatments for the novel virus . Look at how far we have come so far? There is a long road ahead however, it is important to acknowledge the road travelled.

The purpose of this article is not to explain and give answers on the contrary. I write to encourage humans to explore life and the current situation with a gentle curiosity and with love. In doing so something spectacular can happen. When we explore and inquire with gentleness and understanding we become one one with the collective the human race.

We are awakening on a level most are not yet aware of. This awakening is just the start. If we can come together for this perhaps there is a chance for peace.

Life as we know it has changed forever. We have made it through some pretty challenging times.

If I haven’t lost you yet, please reflect on what was important to you this year.

Did your perspective change?

It isn’t unusual after big world events for people to reflect what they want in life. It can encourage us to re-establish healthy living and creates food for thought. We start to think about what really matters .

Refect on your own life.

Has your life change since the Pandemic ?

It is pretty hard to come out of such an event without experiencing change and loss. Humans are resilient and adaptable . We can adjust and we can triumph .

What does this mean for you personally?

As individuals and a society that focuses on individuals we are reminded of the power of the collective - we come together to support and rally. We need each other.

Pretty amazing stuff when you slow down and reflect isn’t it?

It has been a heck of a wild ride. Often we are thinking about overcoming, getting through that when we pause to look at the positive we can become open to healing and possibilities.

One of the biggest take aways that I have noticed is that my own heart has grown - becoming expansive. This is a sort of cracking open , an awakening to life and love. Often traumatic events do lead to personal and collective growth. Empathy and compassion and other altruistic gifts are ignited in human hearts. Out of loss comes grief and a greater appreciation for life and loved ones.

I encourage you to take some time to reflect and think how this time in your life has forced you to grow?

Has your heart softened? Are you connected and engaged and ready to move forward as we slowly heal? We might be all recalibrating and finding our way back to love. We can heal.

The trauma that is processed is transformative. I hope this short inquiry has stirred your heart and soul. It is a fact that we are all still reeling from the events of the past year. Many are slowly emerging . It is normal to feel anxiety and have fears. Life as we know has changed forever. Perhaps this is a new beginning. This may be the start of a brave new world. Please join together sisters and brothers. Let’s join as one.

Peace
