Gemini season is all about relationships - and not just romantic ones. If it involves connection or communication, it falls under the umbrella of the twin sign. This Gemini season, it’s time to tend to all the relationships in your life, whether or not you’re dating a special someone!

Those born under the sign of Gemini are often known for their gregarious nature. It’s not usually that difficult for a Gemini to express their needs, interests, desires, and even just their passing thoughts and ideas. While other signs might wait until they’re sure of something to say it out loud, a Gemini might just be processing or brainstorming as they speak.

In Gemini season, this trait - like many other things - will double. You’ll feel your skills at communication stretching to their limits as you grow, learn, and try new things. In every area of your life, it’s time to let your voice be heard.

Romance

This Gemini season, you’ll feel called to express yourself clearly and frequently. If you’re in a relationship, you may find yourself suddenly wanting to have lots of intense conversations about what you want, and where you’re going - especially since we’re coming out of Taurus season, when you may have been less inclined to make waves.

While this sort of “define the relationship” chat feels important and useful to you, Gemini, remember that not every sign feels as comfortable talking about these topics. Be gentle with your significant other, and don’t rush them to come up with immediate answers. Try writing your feelings and questions down beforehand so you can take more space from them and let the conversation breathe.

If you’re not currently dating someone, you’ll still feel that powerful tug of honesty and openness. Maybe it’s time to update your online dating profile, or let yourself send that risky double-text. Gemini season is for truth telling, no matter what.

An intentionally single Gemini, or one not seeking a relationship isn’t immune to the pull of the Gemini season. You might feel compelled to speak up every time you hear a comment about your solo lifestyle, or to let your platonic friends know just how much they mean to you.

Family

They say that “blood is thicker than water,” but did you know that the whole phrase is actually “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”? That means you get to choose who you’re connected to, and you get to set the terms of those connections. What is written in your covenant?

Coming out of Taurus season, you may have been biting your tongue or biding your time even when members of your family pushed your boundaries. Now that it’s Gemini season, you’ll find the courage to say what needs to be said. If there are limits you need to establish, secrets you want to tell, or stories you hope to set right, now is the time.

If you’re lucky enough not to have anything difficult to share with your family, you can still harness the power of Gemini season to say what needs to be said. Reach out to your loved ones and share a fond memory or a heartfelt letter of gratitude. No matter where you are with your family relationships, now is not the time to keep your feelings bottled up.

Friends

Every Gemini knows how important friendship is. Twins, with their shared language and giggling late night sleepovers, are the symbol for this highly sociable sign. Even if you weren’t born with a twin, you likely have a friend who feels like a “sister from another mister” or a “brother from another mother.” Cherish that deep connection!

Exploration, adventure, and novelty are the hallmarks of Gemini joy. Shared experiences are the bedrock of friendship, and this Gemini season provides plenty of opportunities to cultivate plenty of fun with friends. Now is your time to shine, Gemini - you’ve always been a leader and a risk-taker, and your influence will be that much stronger during your birthday season.

When it comes to friendships during this summertime Gemini season, find weird, unique, and new ways to nudge your friends into the fun of a shared experience. Many people feel stuck in a rut these days, and your friends will look to you to help them out of it! Plan a camping trip, take a crafting class, or hold a contest to find the weirdest movies to watch together.

Colleagues

We spend a huge portion of our lives at work, and our relationships with coworkers can make or break our mood on any given day. In this Gemini season, everyone’s talking - and that can be a good or a bad thing. Gemini season is never boring, and work is no exception.

While the best advice is usually to do your best to avoid drama and gossip, that might not actually be possible for the next couple of weeks. Instead of trying to avoid it, enjoy the excitement of workplace chatter. Steer clear of anything cruel or dangerous, but embrace the strange, the silly, and even the salacious.

Strangers

Relationships with strangers might sound like an oxymoron to most people, but not to a social butterfly Gemini. We all live in a world full of other people, many of whom are different from us. And that’s great!

This Gemini season, you may feel an itch to get out there and meet new people. Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to become ‘besties’ with everyone, though. It’s okay to have a large circle of acquaintances, or to have a fun conversation with someone on the bus.

Your social energy can’t be contained by your small, intimate group of family and friends. Go ahead and flirt with your barista. Sign up for a pen pal program. Attend a march or a rally packed with other people who share your beliefs. Not everyone will end up feeling like a long-lost twin, but your Gemini constellation shines among plenty of other stars.

Yourself

By Caroline Veronez on Unsplash

The most important relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself. In this Gemini season, which is dominated by chatter and conversation, spend some time connecting with your own mind.

Take up a solitary practice like hiking, meditation, or journaling. Put down the phone and just let your mind wander. Listen to what you’re telling yourself! Now may be the time to figure out how to make a decision you’ve been putting off for a while, or give words to a feeling you’ve been ignoring. If you can articulate your own identity and interests more clearly, you’ll be harnessing the energy of Gemini season to its greatest effect.

This season, your self-talk will be amplified, so you’ll want to be especially intentional about how you speak to yourself. Just as twins and siblings sometimes pick on each other, you may have an “inner bully.” This voice gets stronger during Gemini season, so be careful not to let it push you around. Self love, affirmations, and positive mantras can help you talk back when you need to.

Happy birthday, you gorgeous Gemini! It’s your season to grow, so get out there and go!
