How To Become A Morning Person: 7 Small Tips

A lot of people hate waking up in the morning because they usually rush to do a lot of things in a very short time interval.

I have to love the mornings, for the below reasons:

  • I am more productive
  • I am more creative
  • The days seem longer
  • I get to the office happier if I do not rush to work

In this article, I will provide you with the steps that I made to love the morning wake up.

Take your time:

So, to become a morning person, the first thing you need to do is to take your time. Don't rush, just be lazy, sip from your coffee and make plans for the day that started. To achieve this, you need to either wake up earlier or prepare some things from the evening before.

For example, I need to drink coffee the first thing in the morning, to be human again. I make a pot of coffee in the evening, for the next day and place a cup full of coffee on the nightstand, so I drink the magic potion when I open my eyes in the morning. I also put the cereals in the bawl from the evening and in the morning, I just eat.

Eat:

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it's quite important to take it home and to go to the office full of energy. I eat cereals, boiled eggs, salad, scrambled eggs, yogurt, depending on my mood.

Increase your good mood:

Perform activities that help you stay in a good mood: listen to music, watch funny videos, read about your hobbies, dance, and sing while drinking coffee, if this makes you happy.

I read about 5–7 tech blogs in the morning, to stay up to date with the latest pieces of technology.

Make an optimistic plan for today:

When people are happy, they are more optimistic, they think that nothing is impossible and nothing can break their good mood.

It is a good habit to make an optimistic plan for today, to draw some lines, and make a list of things you want to achieve in the current day.

Allow natural light to wake you awake:

The importance of natural sunshine is emphasized in most morning-person writings. However, I live in a small studio apartment with a sleeping nook with no windows. This sounds nice, and it is—until you want to get out of bed (there's hardly any morning light). I tried the Philips Wake-Up Light to remedy this problem, which claims to simulate natural dawn and gradually wake you up in a natural, pleasant manner.

Do something positive:

According to a study, getting out of bed on the right foot might affect your attitude for the rest of the day. As a result, experts advise that you arrange a healthy and enjoyable exercise.

This may be a workout for some, but I like the more straightforward options of meditating, writing down three things I'm grateful for, reading an uplifting article, or listening to an inspiring podcast. It might even be as basic as sipping a good cup of coffee or eating a delicious breakfast.

Reward yourself for achieving little goals:

People who pursue long-term objectives are more likely to stay motivated if they acknowledge tiny victories along the way, according to research. Consider strategies to reward yourself for completing difficult tasks as you prepare your strategy for becoming a morning person.

You're well aware of the activities and pleasures that are most important to you: Use your daily or weekly accomplishments to keep yourself motivated.
