The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like, which means if you're positive and optimistic, you will bring positive things into your life, while focusing on the positive aspects of life brings positivity.

The opposite can also be true; negative thoughts and energy can also bring negative experiences in your life.

If you want to manifest love, follow these simple steps and techniques to attract love into your life using the Law of Attraction.

Awareness

The first step in attracting love is becoming aware that you're vibrating at a level that does not attract love.

To do that, you must practice being aware of your thoughts and feelings throughout your day and your actions (e.g., asking someone out on a date).

Practice thinking about every possible outcome before doing something new or different; otherwise, it's impossible to visualize what your experience might be like.

Another way is journaling: Write down any negative thoughts or feelings, and then write an equally positive thought that contradicts it.

Don't try it if you don't believe something will work out for you!

The Secret

Law of attraction, says psychologist Robert A. Johnson, is any thought or idea that holds the power to attract similar thoughts and ideas.

In his book, The Secret: The Law of Attraction, Johnson explains that positive thoughts bring about positive results, and negative thoughts bring about negative results.

If you focus on what you want in life, those things will come your way. Just get into a habit — daily if possible — of focusing on and thinking about what you want, not what you don't wish to, Johnson says.

This is critical for success because if you give your attention power over what you don't have...you will never have it.

Affirmations

Your affirmations should be specific and personal.

For example, I am happily married isn't going to cut it because that's not something you can control.

Your affirmation should be something you want to be based on your terms. For example, I attract a happy marriage with my soulmate.

However, the more specific your affirmation is, don't expect it to come true right away.

Remember that expectations are blocking manifestations; that's one reason why many people never have them in their lives.

It would help if you felt confident about your affirmations for them to ever work for you in real-life situations.

Each time an affirmation fails or doesn't come true immediately, add a statement of even greater clarity as if you are trying to improve upon a favorite quote.

Visualization

To achieve a goal using the law of attraction, you'll need to create a clear image in your mind that reflects what you desire.

Visualization can be done in various ways, including in your mind's eye, through imagery, or on paper.

Learn more about different visualization techniques here. Remember that not all visualization techniques are effective for every person.

So what works for one person may not work for another.

It's best to experiment and find out what works best for you and is also realistic to meet your goals.

Your imagination is powerful enough! Believe it!

Jot down a list of things you're grateful for.

Do your best to make it a long list, especially if it is hard for you at first.

Remind yourself that being grateful is an essential part of attracting what you want into your life and that gratitude helps create positive feelings in your body.

Read over these when you wake up and throughout your day.

Have an imaginary conversation with someone who was loving and kind towards you but passed away many years ago.

Write their name on a card or piece of paper and place it somewhere safe where only you can see it (i.e., under your pillow).

Remind yourself that they are always with you, even though they have passed on from their physical body.

Creating Space in Your Life

If you're worried about how love might change your life, a simple way to handle that fear is by creating more space in your life.

Make time for new hobbies, interests, and relationships.

A great way to do that is by using up some of your free time – go out with friends or take on a new sport and start meeting new people.

With all these changes happening, something will inevitably get pushed out of your schedule but don't worry!

That will mean that you have more time for focusing on other things – like love!

A Daily Practice

Remember, it's not enough to have your dream job; you must use your time in alignment with your purpose.

As John Lennon once said, life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

So make sure that you build daily rituals into your schedule that revolve around doing work that makes you feel fulfilled and pushes you closer to fulfilling your dreams.

Choose one small action each day—from reading a few pages of an uplifting book before bed to meditating for 10 minutes in silence—and allow yourself a moment where you aren't focused on anything else but feeling good and being productive.
