Gift Ideas for an INTJ

So many options! What will they like?

When gift shopping, it can be difficult to know what to buy someone with an INTJ personality type. However, here is a brief list to help spark some ideas for you if you have either an INTJ spouse, parent, or friend who you are trying to buy for:

1. Journals.

INTJs are always deep in thought, so most of the time a new journal would be a great gift idea. However, most INTJs might be extremely particular about what kind of journals they like best, so you may want to get a gift card for them so that they can pick out their own journal.

2. Planners.

INTJs love planners, especially if they are female INTJs; they greatly appreciate anything that will help them stay one top of things and be more organized in life.

3. Fancy pens.

Whereas some personality types would not be particularly excited about receiving ink pens as a gift, INTJs will be most likely. It would make sense that they like nice pens to write with because after all they like journals and planners as mentioned above.

4. Alone time.

This probably sounds funny, but INTJs love, love, love being alone. It's not because they are depressed or deranged (I promise), although they may go through brief episodes, but it is simply because they just appreciate a lot of alone time. Alone time is especially needed for INTJ moms and dads who have young kids who zap their energy during the day. Alone time would be more of a gift given from one spouse who is willing to take the kids out for a few hours while the INTJ parent stays home to just chill and decompress.

5. Specialty teas and coffees.

There is a pretty good chance that an INTJ will enjoy trying new coffee or tea. There is nothing better than a hot drink to help soothe the soul and calm the mind!

6. Indoor plants or succulents.

INTJs like plants, especially ones that take care of themselves and require little attention like succulents that can be placed on a window sill.

7. Bags.

INTJs seem to like bags of various kinds and types; this includes backpacks. I've known some INTJ's to have a bag for every type of occasion and sometimes bring multiple bags places.

8. Wine and specialty beers.

If your INTJ friend or spouse drinks, then you may want to find out what their favorite beverages are, because they may really enjoy some wine. Or, better yet, they may enjoy you taking them on a date to a winery for a wine tasting.

9. Music lessons.

Many INTJs may be interested in learning a new instrument and may really appreciate receiving several free music lessons as a gift.

10. A new camera.

Many INTJ really love photography and would love to have a new camera. However, before you buy them a camera, make sure that you buy them one that is a brand that they would prefer.

11. Photo albums.

INTJs always need more photo albums to put their pictures in. If you are the crafting type of person, your INTJ may like if you decorated the outside of a photo album and then gave it to them.

12. Unique jewelry.

INTJs like things that are unique in nature. If you buy them jewelry or watches, then make sure that what you buy is simple, yet unique and your INTJ will most likely appreciate it as a gift.

13. iTunes gift card.

Like most personality types, INTJs enjoy music, so you really cannot go wrong with a iTunes gift card so that they can pick out some music that suits their tastes.

14. Gym membership.

INTJs probably enjoy using exercise as a way to de-stress so getting them a gym membership would most likely be greatly appreciated.

15. Antiques or vintage items.

INTJs greatly appreciate old things that have deep meaning or old stories behind them, so if you find something in an antique shop that is one-of-a-kind, then your INTJ just might really like it as a gift.
