FAVORITE MOVIES THAT ARE A MUST WATCH
Here are some feel good and thrillers to watch.
Want some movie recs this holiday season? Here are some I watched that will make you feel good and will leave you shocked, at the edge of your seat.
FEEL GOOD MOVIES
This feel good romantic comedy about a daughter (who's father works as a chauffer for a rich family) returns from Paris a new person, all grown up, but is still in love with the love of her life, the son of the rich family her father works for. But the young man is a playboy and doesn't take relationships seriously. When Sabrina returns from Paris, the young son suddenly pays attention to her, awed by her beauty. While Sabrina is happy about the love of her life suddenly noticing her, she suddenly pays attention to the young man's older brother, Linus, who in his seriousness, also has a soft, romantic side. At the end, she'll have to discover who she really loves.
I loved this movie soo much. Humphrey Bogart, William Holden and Audrey Hepburn make a great team in this classic. It will leave you smiling, and wanting to watch all over again.
Farewell to Arms (1932)
This love story about a nurse and a solider during WW1 is a classic. The chemistry between Helen Hayes and Gary Cooper is oh-so-romantic and a great classic to watch!
The Spirit of Christmas
This holiday movie with a touch of paranormal is the perfect movie to watch. The main character is sent to an inn in hopes of finding a new owner for it, but is met with a handsome ghost from the 1920's who tries to push her away. This feel-good movie is a must-watch for the holidays!
The classic anime by Studio Ghibli that won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2003, is a beloved classic. This is the story of a girl who enters the spirit world in hopes of saving her parents. The music, animation, everything was so atmospheric, spooky, pleasing, and overall amazing! This is my favorite Studio Ghibli movie!
Jane Eyre (1983)- TV SHOW
Not a movie, but I have to add this to the list, as it makes a great holiday show to watch. This classic version with Timothy Dalton as Mr. Rochester is a great show and my favorite cinematic version of Jane Eyre. The book is also really good too. I loved the acting, the chemistry, and the atmosphere of the show.
Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson act in this period thriller about two magicians who compete to become the most successful magician in 19th century London. Magic tricks going wrong, one of them magicians getting arrested, and a dead spouse are elements in this movie. David Bowie also makes an appearance as well. The plot twist at the end is one you won't see coming!
The Wife's Nightmare
This Lifetime movie is simple, yet the plot twist at the end will shock you!! A young woman, who's all alone, goes to a family of three-a mother, father, and teenager son, claiming to be the father's long-lost daughter. They take her in. But this woman gets a little too adjusted into the family, even so far as to make sure the mother isn't not in the picture anymore. This is one of Lifetime's better movies, as it will keep you in your seats.
This tense, psychological horror about three thieves trying to steal from a blind veteran going wrong, will leave you feeling all the emotions that a horror movie should bring. The movie has jump scares, will leave you gripped, and make you feel like you are in the movie. The plot twist at the end is also unexpected. Great horror movie to watch.
This movie with Annabelle the Doll is not as scary as the other movies in the series, making this watchable for non-horror movie fans. This movie can be watched in a sitting.
