8 Amazing Reasons Why You Should Write

Here are some amazing reasons why you should write (even if there is no money)

I started writing four months ago. Of all the things I could have done with my free time (dumping social media), I wrote. I get paid peanuts for it. If someone offered me to pay as much to mow their lawn once a year for an hour, I would politely refuse.

Then why the heck do I still write, and sometimes like a madman? Why do these words have to come out of my mind and find their place in the world?

Do you ever feel like this?

Why should anyone write if not for the money?

Creativity: Every word that can ever be written has been written a million times over! Whatever you want to write about — there’s a funny version, serious version, and every other version. But there has never been Your Version of it. When you write, you can express yourself in a way that is unique and personal.

Therapy: Writing is a great form of therapy. It can help you work through your problems or simply get out your thoughts and feelings. It is like talking to a friend — it helps get your thoughts out in the open.

Recording your thoughts: When you write, you record your thoughts and memories. This can be helpful for future reference or simply to look back on later in life. Who knows, maybe somewhere in all the rambling, there’s a gem or two. Maybe there’s a genius thought that might change someone else’s life (or yours). Writing online keeps a record of your thoughts.

Making a Difference: Even if you don’t make any money from writing, you still make a difference in the world. Even if all you changed is just one person’s life, that is one more than what would otherwise be. Words have changed the world. How do you know yours won’t have an impact?

Organize Thoughts: By writing your thoughts, you can organize them better. This can be helpful to think more clearly, decide, or solve problems. This could have a beneficial effect on your main job/business.

Happiness: One of the best reasons to write is that it makes you happy. When you’re engaged in something you enjoy, it’s easy to forget your worries and stressors. Writing can be a great form of escapism, and it can also help you appreciate the good things in your life.

Legacy: Your words might make a difference in someone’s life or even change the world. Even if nobody ever reads what you write, simply knowing that you’ve made your mark can be incredibly fulfilling. Everyone has something unique to offer the world. By writing, you’re leaving your mark on the world and making it a better place.

Money: If you keep writing and learning, you will probably get good at the craft. If you keep going, you’ll get even better. There’s a chance you could make some money from it. There are many opportunities for writers, such as freelancing, blogging, or publishing books. One thing could lead to another, and you could end up with something incredible. (Yes, I said no money, but hey, why not!)

Conclusion

So there you have it — the many reasons why you should write. Whether you’re doing it for therapy, pleasure, money, or leaving your mark on the world, writing is a great way to spend your time.
