The truth is that we cannot coexist in a society without at least partially understanding the emotional experiences of the people around us.

If we completely neglected the other person's perspective, we would go through a real psycho-emotional regression, failing to assert ourselves as individuals, but also to successfully integrate into society.

We are programmed to be dependent on other people. It is useless to avoid this predetermined order of things. Therefore, a wise solution would be to assimilate empathy, understanding its essence, advantages, and qualitative effects, which we could discover in time.

Empathy is a really special psychological trait. Her presence in us speaks to our high emotional and cognitive organization. Thanks to her we understand what we feel and think ourselves, but also what kind of experiences the person next to us goes through.

Thanks to her, we also manage to coexist, evolve, and feel safe regardless of the environment in which we have chosen to establish our routine. When we choose to be empathetic, we choose to be wise!

In this context, we present six fascinating ways in which empathy makes our lives more beautiful. Here they are!

- Empathy helps us mature. We become genuine adults only by accepting our imperfection, that of our loved ones, and life as such.

There is no more exhaustive method of maturing than the one in which we empathize with the happiness, suffering, uncertainty, and misery we identify with other people. It is in such revealing moments that we understand what it means to be human.

- Empathy helps us to forgive ourselves and others. We all have wounds from childhood, adolescence, or even adulthood. Some have been challenged by our loved ones, friends, and strangers. Others, however, provoked ourselves. But that doesn't matter.

The beautiful and significant thing in all this spiritual disorder is the ability to forgive by empathizing with the pain of others. By forgiving both others and ourselves, we become strong.

- Empathy helps us to understand life more deeply. Again - choosing to be empathetic, we choose to be wise! And that's because empathy comes out of nowhere.

We experience it only after going through countless challenges; after comparing our existential condition with that of others; after learning about our human weakness about the sometimes fatal violence of life.

We come to understand these and many other universal laws, only becoming vulnerable and open to worldly wisdom; only by empathizing with people who carry this supreme knowledge.

- Empathy helps us feel included. Inclusion is the key to self-harmony and the world around us. Unfortunately, however, we do not reach this social inclusion so easily.

We become included not only by cultivating empathy for all the other members of the community we belong to, but also by receiving the same empathy from them in return. This exchange of empathic energy determines our sense of security and protection in the environment in which we find ourselves.

- Empathy helps us cope with stress, anxiety, and depression. Each of us is going through various difficult emotional times. They are a part of what it means to be human.

Fortunately, empathy is what helps us more than anything to get over them and get on with our lives. Being treated with empathy in such times, we find that what we feel is not strange, on the contrary - it is a natural thing, which we will eventually be able to get over.

In the same way, we also realize that no matter what happens to us now, we will be supported, helped, forgiven, and accepted. And this is one of the most revealing human feelings.

- Empathy helps us build a healthy and prosperous community of people. Life flourishes in an inclusive environment, in which each individual cultivates a healthy degree of empathy for himself, but also for the other members of this environment, regardless of his mental, physical, financial, etc. situation. Indeed, when we feel understood and supported, we are ready to turn mountains upside down, cultivating progress and love!

Take care of each other. This is the secret of happiness!
