A person is defined by all the things that shaped his personality. Even though some people have some abilities inherited, they all need to grow up and create their character.

In this article, I will provide you with a list of things that make you a strong person. The order is arbitrary.

Love yourself:

Before you can love others, you need to love yourself. Self-love can help you understand what you want, what you like, and what makes you happy. If you want to be a better you.

Be strong and sensitive at the same time:

To have a balanced life, you need to be strong and sensitive at the same time. Both qualities can help you in different situations and will allow you to see beyond appearances, discover things that make you happy or realize what you want to do in life.

Never give up:

You cannot succeed with everything you do, but it's very important to never give up. Even though you are facing difficulties, it is fundamental to stay focused and to try and solve what you are facing. Strong mental people are not discouraged by anyone or anything, so the same rule must apply to you.

Need to know when to quit:

Even though I have just said that strong people don't give up, it is a quality to know the difference between letting you down and giving up. Some things cannot be solved, no matter how much you try and work in that direction. It is a quality to be capable of letting go of things if that is the right thing for you.

You are what you think:

Yet another important quality is to do what you think. All your wishes turn into thoughts, thoughts in words, words in action, actions inhabits, habits in what is important to you. It is important to have positive thinking and to know what you have in life. In our deepest thoughts, we imagine ourselves in a way, but we cannot manage to perform 'what we think, to be the person 'we think we are'.

Do not just thank yourself:

It is very important to do what you like, to reward yourself for what you have done well. Despite the costs, if you need to do certain things, you should do them.

Learn to say 'no':

If your gut tells you that something is wrong, or you should not hesitate to say 'no', no matter what other people think about that thing. This does not mean that you have to refuse what you don't like, but only what you know that it's not right to be done. If you keep your integrity by saying 'no' then it's good to say no.

Avoid toxic people:

To become a better person, you need to stay around good people. Toxic people will have a bad influence on you and will not permit you to improve yourself, discouraging you with their attitude and with the things they do.

Do not wait for others to approve:

You do not need approval or confirmation from others, as long as you know that the thing you had done is good. Do not hesitate to do what you like and ignore people who have a negative influence on you or who are trying to change you. Happiness starts from the inside.

Learn to say "NO":

Saying no is quite difficult for many of us. However, according to studies from the University of California, San Francisco, the more difficult it is to say no to others, the more likely you are to get irritated, burnt out, and even sad. That's not a good thing.

Mentally strong individuals, on the other hand, don't mind saying no, which stops them from overcommitting. You won't have time for yourself or be happy if you say yes to things you don't want to do or every time someone asks you for help or invites you somewhere.

To cut a long tale short, strive to use the word "no" more frequently in your vocabulary. Your mind and body will appreciate it.
