My village is a mere 13 miles from the Dark Lands. The border is not spoken but the rule is to never cross it. There are villages like mine all along the border as sentries to battle the evil on the other side. very few actually know what is over there. Most who go over never return. those who do die quickly from insanity or wounds.

A large crunch sound draws her attention to the ground to see something shine in the sun. She slides of her horse and crouches down to see a couple pieces of parchment with a great deal of writing. Tying her horse up by a nearby tree she sits down to read what was on them.

I don't know if anyone will find this but i feel my mind slipping away from me, with such i must tell our story. The one of me and my comrades who went to the Dark L ands to find the weakness of the Magi. In this case we merely found the truth of their origin.

We were some of the strongest men in our village and we went to see if there was a way to defeat the Magi once and for all. But we found something a bit more interesting before the black magic of the land began to effect us.

We found a place they called the Dark Archives. We found it after Charles Harchot fell through a fake wall in a rock face. Each of us went after him down a dark stair case. It took a while to travel down especially in the dark. We had two small lanterns with us that did not do much for light on those stairs but at least could see where we were going.

Once we got down the stairs we found Charles hurt and unconscious. Felix Philips patched him up while George Walters and I look around the room. we lit the torches to reveal a large circular room full of scrolls and books.

We poured through the information to not find much in the way of weaknesses but we did find out what happened to create these monsters.

During the years of chaos the servants The Lord of Wrath had many children with human slaves. These children however were not normal. They grew a faster. But they were a bit weaker physically. Though they couldn't fight hardly at all they were smart and had a natural adept for magic. They were also fiercely loyal to the lords of hell. Eventually they could hear commands from the Lords. They became solely dedicated finding ways to opening portals from this side even during the Years of Chaos.

NOw they are merely perfecting the ritual to create a permanent portal between the two realms. Please reader, whoever you are, do what you can to prevent this catastrophe. Find the Hunter's Light. Give them the third parchment of the message and stop this nightmare from ever happening.

The young girl looks up to see a large burly man in light armor kneel down in front of her.

"Who are you?" she asked slightly scared.

"I am Jackuum. I am the Head Hunter of the organization of Hunter's Light"He responds trying to not be intimidating as much as he can.

"Wait. Hunter's Light?" She looks at the letter in her hand and looks up at him. "I'm supposed to give this to you."

He takes the parchment pieces and looks at them briefly. He then rolls the up and gently puts them in his satchel before turning back to her. "Come child. Lets get you home. Your family will be missing you."

"I don't have a family. They have all died years ago." she climbs her horse silently.

"Where are you staying?"he asked as he climbed his own horse.

She shrugged. "Any where I can I suppose." She has been known in the whole village but it doesn't mean she has many friends or a good home.

"Why don't you come with me? To H.L.H.Q. I mean. You would have a home, food, and a life of whatever you choose."

She rode quietly a moment. "you know. I think i will go with you. It's better than this shit hole." She rode ahead a little. "Well come on man. We got a journey ahead."

Jackuum smiled and lead them on.

"Oh. By the way. My name Cassandra. But you can call me Cassie."

"Well Cassie, welcome to the Hunter's Light."
