Steven’s life was finally going the way he wanted. His enduring battle with breast cancer was over. He survived. Nothing could stop him from feeling victorious. Not even the unrelenting roast sessions by his sister Helen, about being a man with breast cancer. Still very weak, he lays in his hospital bed excited to know what comes after. No more wires attached to his body. No more monitors tracking his every action. No more sickening chemotherapy. No more god-awful hospital food. He was finally ready to live again; and tomorrow's discharge was the start of it all. A fresh start away from the clutches of a cancer-related death.
Ricardo SantiagoPublished 6 years ago in Horror5 Couple-Centered Horror Movies That Will Make You Glad to Be Single This Valentine's Day
Warning: This article contains mild spoilers for our ghoulish Valentine's Day horror movie picks. Read on — if you dare! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner — y'know, that time of the year where stores sell overpriced goods like flowers and chocolates. If you’re a singleton, Valentine’s Day is also the time when your singledom is emphasized. For example, you can’t take advantage of couples' discounts (sigh). I especially shudder to think what’s going on inside movie theaters at this time of year, with couples sneaking kisses rather than paying attention to the movie. What better way to avoid the Valentine's madness than cosying up with a movie at home? You definitely won't feel so lonely — or dare to switch the lights off — after taking your pick from these horror flicks.

Elvan KamaPublished 6 years ago in HorrorThe Top 10 Best Horror Remakes
I've seen a lot of remakes in my 24 years on this planet, and one theme seems to reign true with every film; it's either a hit or a miss. There's no in between. The remake either leaves you feeling satisfied, or makes you ask "WTF DID THEY DO TO MY CHILDHOOD?" I'm all about positivity at the moment, so I'll be counting down the 10 best horror remakes in my opinion (film numero uno being the very best).

New Short Story The Deadly Fear The tapping of the water hitting the sink in the kitchen had lulled him into a peaceful trance, but the terror still gripped his heart like a vise. The cold breeze forcing its way into the room had frozen the ground like ice. Even in his trance-like state, he could feel his feet numbing from the icy hard ground as it clung to his toes. Bright fluorescent lighting illuminated his surroundings into clear contrast from the other rooms in the house which were bathed in oily black shadows. The darkness clung to the rest of the house like a living breathing creature.
The Origin of 'Sleeping Beauty'—More 'Crime Watch' Than Fairy Tale
We all remember fairy tales from our childhood. They were sweet and cute, had a princess and a prince, a frog and a witch, and they all lived happily ever after. The bad guys always got what was coming to them in the end, but it was never a thing to dwell on. We don't want to sully the happiness by thinking too much about what befell them.
The Unholy CreeperPublished 6 years ago in HorrorI Am Eli
I AM ELI As I walk, I can hear the small branches cracking under my boots. The forest sways and the trees whisper as I’m on my way to kill. I've thought this through time and time again. I have been carefully waiting and planning the perfect time. I have every detail I need to be ready for this kill. She’s single, no family, lives alone, and doesn't attend a college. Pretty much non-existent in any type of community. She has no pets, so there will be no disturbance to me upon entering her home. She lives on the edge of these woods. In fact, I can see her home now.
