Be careful how you treat people

It had been twenty-seven years. Becca knew that she was a good person. She knew that she possessed a good heart and was kind and caring. Unfortunately, she also knew that her benevolence didn't mean much, or so it seemed.

Jalee and Kat found a twisted pleasure in mistreating Becca. The torment ranged from verbal threats to vicious lies and accusations. Becca was constantly looking over her shoulder for them and they reveled in her distress. The three ladies were all adults, however Jalynn and Kat were far from grown-up. Their bullying and hectoring banter had reached immense levels of immaturity.

Becca often prayed that this suffering and harassment would end. It felt like her prayers always fell on deaf ears, as help never arrived. Sometimes she would even invoke karma to take care of her tormentors, but karma was taking its long-sweet time. Becca had even reached out to local police for protection and they too failed to safeguard her. Soon, it became apparent that she was on her own and Becca decided to take matters into her own hands.

Utilizing the internet and old book stores, Becca began fascinated with witchcraft. All of the claims that a simple spell could unravel her enemies was charming her. "Could it really be this easy?" Soon she was spending large amounts of money on various crystals, incense, candles, bells and of course the most important chalice and wand.

Witchcraft was coming natural and easy for Becca. The more that she learned, the more obsessed she became. She had joined an online community of witches who had taken her under their wing and coached her further into the craft.

The time had finally came when Becca's online coven of friends decided that she had advanced in the craft and could finally seek revenge on her enemies. Becca was not interested in cute, sparkly spells anymore. She wanted to inflict pain and torment on Jalee and Kat. She wanted to hurt them and make them feel every ounce of the pain that they had induced onto her.

As Becca's anger grew, so did something inside of her. Something was raging within her, something she had never felt before. When she looked in the mirror, she felt like a stranger was peering back at her.

It was a warm night in late June. Becca walked alone, deep into the darkness of the woods. The moon was full and graciously lit the way. She carefully arranged shiny stones into a pentagram on the ground. Gently, she took a single strand of hair from her pocket. She had been able to pluck the hair from Kat's sweater a few days earlier. Slowly, she used the blade that was secretly mailed to her. It was ancient looking, almost rusty but shimmering at the same time. Holding the blade made Becca feel as if magic was truly rushing through her veins. She let her warm blood drip into the chalice and then added Kat's hair.

It felt as if the ground beneath her shook. The trees fell silent, not one bird was chirping, not one breeze blowing. Becca's eyes went dark. A form of evil that she never expected was creeping into her. The stench of death filled the air. "Sicken my enemies with languish and pain." She looked up at the hovering moon who's light shined into her blackened eyes.

3:00am - The witching hour. Jalee rushed to Kat's house, something was wrong, Kat was terribly ill. She found Kat laying on the ground, blood gushing from her mouth. Every breathe she took exhaled more blood. "Where was it all coming from?!" Kat was useless, she was unable to walk or stand on her own. Jalee dragged her debilitated body across the lawn, toward the car. Every few steps Kat hurled more and her body was turning cold and pale.

3:15am - "Those sounds! What are those horrible sounds?" Jalee slouched over Kat's lifeless body. Screams, moans, horrible sounds was coming from all directions. Jaylee began to cry as she looked down at her deceased friend and the entire fluid content of her body soaking into the ground. The full moon was glistening over every drop of blood. Kat gurgled, she was still alive!

Kats lungs was filled with blood, she coughed and gurgled trying to retain some form of air. Just then, a ghostly image appeared to be floating above her. A girl with jet black eyes and a merciless grin across her face. It was Becca!

"Sicken my enemies with languish and pain."

"Spill her blood in my name!"

Becca looked down over Kat, but this wasn't Becca at all. This was a evil, twisted version of Becca.

Karma comes, as the ground sucks you in.

You dig and claw but you can not win.

As your nails dig, you try to escape.

I am the one who will choose your fate.

I will break your fingers one and all.

Push you in and watch you fall.

Down, down you will go.

As the demons reach to steal your soul.

Anguished screams fill your ears.

And I feverishly force feed your fears.

The fire burns straight through your soul.

Your pain and agony is my goal.

As I sit before you on my throne.

Your soul is mine, it's you I own.

You beg and plead that I will forgive.

But you dear Kat, don't deserve to live.

Karma comes for one and all.

The martyr of Hell has heard my call.

For all the pain you gave to me.

I now return in times of three.

Jaylees time creeps about.

Karma comes, have no doubt.

Be careful how you treat people, for one day, you may push them so far that they turn to Karma to unravel you. Sometimes revenge becomes such an obsession that nobody makes it out alive.
