Hello again screaming critters and welcome back to another Screaming for Horror article I am Rain and I hope you're having a horrific day. If you think old and abandoned hospitals are creepy think again, working medical facilities hold as many sinister stories as those that have already closed down for good which is why the next set of nurses in our article share their most frightful experiences.

1.- Deadly Granny

I had cared for an elderly woman with no family who came to us when her husband had died, she didn't speak often but when she did it was usually just words that made no sense altogether, I felt so bad for her because ever since she had arrived so many of the residents in her area (the ones she enjoys spending time with) had all passed away in such a short time. She had put up a picture of her husband and some other friends and family members (sorta like a shrine) to remember them, I had always felt sorry for her and showed her a little extra attention and we became quite close, it just seemed unfair that she had such luck and kept losing people she cared about. One day she looked at me and said plainly as day "Sweetie, I think I'm done now" and handed me a picture, it was a picture of me and I smiled because it touched my heart that I was that important to her, sadly, she passed away nearly a week later.

I cried for days, it just hit me hard, she knew it was the end for her and she said her goodbyes as best as she could. A little less than 2 years later, I was talking to a colleague and the lady came up in our conversation, my colleague referred to her as "The crazy b*tch" which seemed very out of character for her and it shocked and offended me deeply. As I expressed this to her (not so nicely) she gave me a look and she said "Oh dear, you don't know" and explained to me the following.

As it turns out it came out sometime after she had passed that she had killed her husband by poisoning him and that there was an investigation because apparently, she had a ritual of befriending someone, obtaining their picture, and hiding it until she was able to kill them (poisoning them as well) and then displaying the picture as some sort of trophy. It was suspected that this might of been the reason for the high mortality rate during her stay and that the considerable number of photos in her collection might have been her victims, the last I heard not even the family photos were in any relation to her and the police were trying to I.D the individuals and compare them to several cold cases.

2.- Don't Let Them Take Me

I was assigned to the oncology wing where I met a patient that was on (sad to say) his last days, word had been around that he had been fully awake for a few days and no one knew why they were even giving him meds to try to help him relax a bit and get some rest but nothing worked. On a particular night, I went to check on him, and as soon as I walked in he looked at me dead in the eye and told me "Don't let them take me" while pointing up at the ceiling as I looked up to see what he was talking about all I remember seeing was a big dark mass like cloud up above, I was speechless but the most frightening part was, that my patient passed away a few minutes after that.

3.- The White Man in the Hospital Gown

I worked in an acute care adult unit at a hospital but was sent to the kid's ward one evening since they were short on staff. It was right after 10:00 pm or so and all patients were in their rooms already and tucked in bed when suddenly I heard a child screaming I ran towards the room only to find a psych tech trying to calm him down. The 7-year-old boy was hysterical, he was crying, sweating, and shaking he said he saw something but was too shaken up to tell us right away. After he settled down he told me he saw a white man in a hospital gown just standing in his room, while we were discussing what was going on the child suddenly froze in fear while tears rolled down his cheeks he then said "Be still, Oh my god! He's right behind you" we turned around, saw the man and decided to address him, tell him that the boy was scared he simply turned around without a word and left.

While still taking care of the boy another one down the hall started to scream I didn't know what was going on so I ran as fast as I could towards the room where the screams were coming from I went in and an older boy was cowering on top of his bed pointing at the door his face filled with terror "The man in the white gown" he's right there, I turned around but nothing was there, till this day we do not know what was so scary about the white man in the hospital gown the kids left a little after that and we never saw or heard anything about him ever again and I honestly hope we don't.

4.- Disfigured

Nurses and doctors alike are petrified of going to the bathroom facilities (especially at night time) at a hospital in Mexico City. The tale goes that everything started when doctors at the hospital weren't able to save a little girl's life after a tragic car coalition, the little girl had been horribly disfigured in the process now the little girl seems to think that it's fun to play in the bathroom and scare the bejesus out of unsuspecting employees or visitors. Witnesses have claimed that while in the stall they hear the bathroom door slowly opening followed by the sound of small feet moving about when they exit they suddenly find all the faucets running as a disfigured little girl bounces around in the background. Up until this day, no one knows why the bathroom seems to be her playground some employees have gotten used to her presence, while others not so much that they even go in groups.

5.- Don't Let Me Die

I was a nurse's aide at the time this happened, we were keeping watch on a patient that had several illnesses from heart problems to renal infections and such. One thing that every one that came into contact with him knew is that every time someone would walk into his room he would always say "Don't let me die" he would go into panic mode every time his heart monitored beeped out of the ordinary and he would be shouting this all along. Around 2:00 am that particular night his monitor advised us something wasn't right when we rushed into his room we were petrified as to what we saw in front of us, the man was hovering over his bed mid-air laughing maniacally all his demeanor had changed his eyes had a look of pure evil in them he turned to us and said "Idiots! So you're the ones that don't let me die?" and laughed again.

He then started to convulse and we called in a code blue, we lost him 20 minutes later. 5 minutes after he had been pronounced dead (and with the rest of the team still in the room) he sits up and starts laughing again and says "You let me die, what a shame" he then lets out a horrible screeching scream that echoes throughout the whole hospital, (even other patients around started to wonder what was that scream) everyone in the room was pale and we couldn't believe what was going on in front of us. After that night it wasn't the same for a while, no one wanted to go or be alone anywhere, a few of the nurses gathered around one day and made an hour prayer it helped a bit but we still had nightmares for days to come.

6.- The 7th Floor

I knew this nurse who used to work at a particular hospital and told me this story many times. She used to work at this hospital (out of state somewhere) where the 7th-floor of this building was off-limits to everyone from patients to staff members pretty much everyone. The story starts off with a nurse who was passionate about her work and taking care of her patients was a high priority, even so, one day her husband grew tired of this and decided to run off, take their kids and he was never heard from again. In a fit of rage, she blamed her work and mostly her patients for her misfortune so she decided to become an angel of death. She killed several patients by injecting them with different substances until one day when she was about to inject yet another victim, she was caught by a doctor who had already reported her to the police since he had suspected something wasn't right.

When the police got there to arrest her, she locked herself in the utility room and slit her wrists before being caught and it all happened on the 7th floor of the hospital soon thereafter strange things started to happen on that particular floor, every person who came in as a patient would mysteriously end up dead, from accidents between staff members among other strange occurrences. The hospital decided that it was too much and deemed the 7th floor cursed, the floor has been closed down ever since with several things barricading the entrances but still, strange noises can be heard resonating from it.
