Zoe sendoff baffles fans of 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

Zoe Buckingham is now history and her fans are questioning her final scenes on the CBS soap where she resided for several years. It was announced in April that Kiara Barnes would be leaving THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL to star in the FOX reboot of FANTASY ISLAND. Spoilers teased viewers that a big showdown was coming when her character Zoe confronted her fiancee Carter and Quinn for sleeping together. The final airdate was given for Barnes on July 6 and those who enjoy the CBS soap were on high alert waiting for Zoe's grand finale.

Zoe had not been seen for a while on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and the excuse was that she was planning a modeling trip to Paris. Viewers were expecting a huge fight between Zoe and Quinn and that she might be the one to stop the renewal vows between Eric and his cheating wife. Those who watch the show were preparing for a knock down drag out catfight. They were also expecting Zoe to tell Carter exactly what she thought about him before leaving for Paris.

The writers had several months to work on something exciting and instead Zoe did not even seem phased by the news of Quarter's encounter. She is gone now and it's all over as far as her character is concerned. Zoe Buckingham came to the LA fashion world as a schemer from Europe who wanted to take Xander away from Emma which she did. The two had been previously dating and both showed up in the US with British accents, which they later lost.

Zoe snuck into the Fashion show and ended up on the runway wearing the sho stopper gown that wowed everyone. She was immediately hired by Forrester Creations but was later revealed to be the daughter of Reese Buckingham the man who gave Hope's baby to Steffy. Her love life, however, never seemed toget off the ground. Xander walked away from her, Thomas betrayed her at the altar, Zende did not feel the same way about her, and Carter cheated on her.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL viewers were expecting some type of meltdown as Zoe lamented how badly she had been treated by men in LA. At the least, she should have screamed at her sister, with flailing arms and tears. Instead, Zoe very quietly accepted Viewers don't know at this point if she will be transferred by Forrester to their Paris division or find another job while in Europe. At this point it seems as though she is simply gone.

The fans of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL were expecting so much because there was a lot that could have been done with Zoe's final scenes. She was not even in attendance during the wedding ceremony and it's as if the writers dismissed her once Kia Barnes said she was leaving. It's assumed that Zoe is moving to Paris where she will remain. She might never be mentioned on the show again except by her sister.

Carter will certainly want to know the details surrounding his fiancee's exit but may not obtain any information. Spoilers are already suggesting that he and Quinn might fall back into each other's arms. If this happens Zoe will end up but a sad memory. Be on the lookout for updates to this storyline to find out what happens next. Spoilers have said that Eric will take down Quinn's portrait and throw it at Carter. Mr. Walton will have to deliver it to his former lover along with a message from her estranged spouse. This might be what leads to a Quarter reunion so stay tuned.
