SLADE (ELIJAH TAYLOR)

“The League is made up of me and several other assassins. Our new orders are to eliminate the Titans.”

POSION-IVY

“That still doesn’t explain why the bounty got pulled out from under us.”

SLADE

“I took out a... loan, shall we call it, in order to cover travel expenses. I agreed to take out one of the titans. I didn’t say which one, but Jason was just... in the way...”

POSION-IVY

“Well, didn’t that just work out lovely.”

SLADE

“His adaptability is impressive. If we can recruit him... it may shift the tide in our favor.”

POSION-IVY

“Why can’t I just enchant him?”

SLADE

“I believe that an emotional connection outweighs any powers.”

JASON TODD

“While that all sounds charming, I’m afraid your hospitality will have to end. We’re not friends. I am not your pet.”

POSION-IVY

“You should consider yourself lucky, Ethan has just increased your life-span.”

DEADSHOT [REMOVING HIS MASK}

“I don’t want to have to be on guard with you all the time. If you want to dish this out, we have a training room.”

He tosses training gear at the titan and the two head to the sparring room

Deadshot changes into a training outfit matching Jason

The two-spar hand-to-hand first

Jason charges at Deadshot with a right-hook only to be blocked

He then headbutts Jason and trips him

Jason slides behind Deadshot, trips him and pins him to the ground

Deadshot picks up two sais and tosses one to Jason

Jason advances towards Deadshot swinging to keep distance between them

Deadshot advances and locks blades with Jason, leaving one arm free to block/swing

The two are at a stalemate before Deadshot goes to trip Jason and Jason counters with an elbow and a sai inches away from Slade’s chest

SLADE

“Titan’s trained you well...”

Jason trips Slade and manipulates his blade against him, posing both blades at his chest, he leans in closer to his ear

JASON

“I train myself.”

He gets up and removes two wrist bands and drops them by his sai

Deadshot uses a grappling gadget that binds Jason’s legs

together

He reels him in and poises a training dagger at his chest.

DEADSHOT

“Never underestimate your opponent.”

JASON

“Come on. I just kicked your ass, now you’re doing cheap moves?

DEADSHOT

“If this were a real fight, you’d be dead.”

JASON

“Not after I break three of your ribs using my weapon.”

SLADE

“Fair enough.”

Deadshot tosses the blade at a dummy and unbinds Jason: tying their sparring session

Before he has the chance to exit, Jason throws one of his shurikens at Slade only to be countered with a sai pinning his arm against the mat

SLADE

"Lesson number two, always be on your toes."

JASON

"Like I need lessons from a merc. for hire."

SLADE

"I only kill when necessary."

Jason charges Slade to prove his equal in combat

His right hook is blocked, Slade's jab is countered and Slade's momentum is used against him, allowing Jason to have him in a chokehold

Slade counters using a headbutt and an elbow combination causing Jason to be sent several feet away from Slade

Jason is quick to recover and grabs one of the training swords swinging it at Slade's single sai

They only have a few moments of melee before Slade twists his weapon and sends the sword out of Jason's hand

SLADE

"Lesson three, be aware of your opponent's gear and abilities."

JASON (Quietly)

"It would be easier if we had access to the same gear..."

He sneaks a couple of shurikens from the room hoping that they'll go unnoticed

Gar throws one corner pocket, of the only pool balls on the table into the activating a hitlist:

“Wow... a cat thief and an assassin. Brilliant hideout.”

RAVEN

“And expensive. Seriously. This whole place smells new.”

ROBIN

“You’re right... they must have been trading with The League. Take one of us down, hide the transaction with the next stock trade.”

GAR

“Guys! Over here, I think I found something!”

The group goes over to discover a hidden room with a pool table in the center of it

ROBIN

“Wow. They really have been keeping an eye on us...”

GAR

“Yeah, no kidding. They’re straight to the point.”

RAVEN

“Demon?”

“They must have seen you in action...”

A few clips of each Titan’s abilities show in various locations through the city

“Making sure each assassin knows our tactics and our teamwork.”

RAVEN

“Guys... how long has Jason been gone?”

GAR

“A few hours, why?”

RAVEN

“Look how nice this place is...I think they’re going to try and recruit him.”

STARFIRE

“She may have a point, look it.”

She points out one of the clips where Jason is violently swinging at his opponent, much more aggressively than Robin

ROBIN

“His tactic, he’s challenging a more aggressive version of me.”

RAVEN

“Making him someone who is our equal in combat...”

THE KEYPAD IS HEARD AND THE DOOR UNLOCKS

RAVEN (CON’D) {HUSHED}

“Hide!”

JASON

“Can I open my eyes yet?”

SLADE

“Not yet... a little further...”

He removes the blindfold revealing a new HQ

SLADE

“One perk of aligning yourself to the League is they don’t skimp you for payment.”

JASON

“You weren’t kidding.”

ROBIN

“I knew it. You’ve turned against us.”

JASON

“I’m the one who got kidnapped. They just... upgraded the place.”

SLADE

“Give me my claim back and you can have this place, and your carbon-copy back.”

RAVEN

“Like you’d give this up that easily, or your leverage.”

SLADE

“If I know your location, I know how to find you, just like you knew how to find me. This place is already compromised, and I’d rather not scuff up the upholstery.”

ROBIN {SLIDES A DUFFLE BAG OVER TO SLADE} {$47,320}

“Kept some as insurance...”

SLADE

“Hardly surprising. Pleasure doing business with you, don’t think I won’t stop by every now and again to make sure no one has claimed my bounty.”

Nothing is heard as Slade slips away using one of the secret passages

STARFIRE

“What are you with the League now?”

JASON

“No. Nothing like that, they just kept me until they got their target claim back. Being in debt with the League means being in debt with the Kingpin, and that’s something that no one wants...”

ROBIN

“And you got this information how?”

JASON

“My stealth and good charms of course!”

GAR

“Did that seem surprisingly diplomatic to any of you?”

RAVEN

“Well he did say he would check in every now and again. Did any others attack you while you were with them?”

JASON

“Nothing other than our one-on-one sparring session.”

GAR

“You do realize that you just gave him every one of your moves if you guys face each other again, right?”

“But it goes both ways.”

ROBIN

“He has a point...”

RAVEN

“We can’t just pass this opportunity up.”

ROBIN

“I don’t think that we’ll have to...”

He watches as the targets start to have an active claim on

each one of the Titans

“They’re planning on turning us against each other...”

RAVEN

“It’s not going to work. Not this time.”

JASON {EATING AN APPLE AND MAKING WAFFLES}

“Yeah, but they don’t know that.”

GAR

“What do you mean?”

“We text now. I have their location, they have mine. It’s a mutual alliance until the League decides to actively make a move against us.”

ROBIN

“Most of our names were shifted around you and Slade. Do you think he’ll try and recruit you?”

JASON

“The very fact you had to question my loyalty makes me feel like you already know the answer.”

RAVEN

“What’s our plan?”

ROBIN

“It’s a bit of a risk, but I think this may just work...”
