Wes Ramsey set the record straight for his Instagram followers who misunderstood a recent post. The General Hospital actor was simply saying that he had a great week at work, but fans thought he was saying goodbye to Port Charles. It has been speculated for some time that Ramsey's character Peter August would be written out of the ABC daytime drama because as one fan stated he had been written into a corner. This is what happened to William deVry who portrayed Julian Jerome. The character got into so much trouble and did so much damage there was no coming back.

It was a nice gesture for Ramsey to reassure his followers but truthfully he does not know the fate of his character. Jason Canella who portrayed Arturo Rosales on The Young and the Restless told viewers that his TV family was here to stay. Not long after this statement, the actor was written out of the show. Y&R also recently, abruptly dropped the character of Chance Chancellor who was a fan favorite. One never knows what the powers that be are going to do so it's best to take it one day at a time.

Peter August has committed serious crimes and most General Hospital viewers don’t see a way for him to be redeemed. There is a possibility that the handwriting might already be on the wall for his character. There may be absolutely no way at this point for Peter to avoid the consequences of his actions. Ramsey, as well as his fans, should keep this in mind. Peter framed Obrecht for his crimes and she is out for blood. Franco is hearing Drew’s voice in his head so he has memories of Peter before Port Charles. Peter had Drew’s plane shot down and tried to kill Franco and Andre. It's only fair that he pay for his crimes and this could mean prison or death.

Something else to consider is the fact that Emme Ryan, (Lulu) William deVry, Julian), Ashton Arbib, Dev) and Mark Lawson, (Dustin) were all abruptly written out of the ABC daytime drama. Wes Ramsey could be written out of the show as well. There are already rumors that Peter will be shot by Dante who Obrecht has programmed to "complete his mission". On Monday, Peter confessed all of his crimes to Valentin and he knows his life is unraveling. Valentin pointed out that Peter could not simply kill everyone who gets in his way so things are tightening up around Faison's son.

Valentin is now an accomplice and probably will not be forthcoming with Anna. The truth, however, is going to come out one way or another. Liesl will have the ultimate revenge when she is publicly exonerated and Anna's beloved Peter goes down for his crimes. Early on looked as if Robert, Jason, and Spinelli were going to crack the case but now it seems that Peter is going to be his own worst enemy. Britt tried to have a relationship with him but his framing her mother and hacking her computer have soured her on her half brother.

This does not sound as if things are going to work out in his favor so Wed Ramsey fans must stay tuned to find out what happens next. Peter August may indeed end up like Julian Jerome and have no way out except death. There is a slim chance the writers will find a way to redeem him but you never know. This is why those who enjoy General Hospital should not be too quick to accept Wes Ramsey's word that all is well. Ramsey is a handsome talented beloved actor, but so were William deVry and Emme Ryan.
