Waffles?

FADE IN: NEWLY ACQUIRED TITAN TOWERS

INTRO

Jason enters the tower and drops the bag of unmarked bills from Deadshot’s latest score.

JASON TODD {CURRAN WALTERS}

“Look’s like we have enough to cover housekeeping!”

DEADSHOT ASSASSIN {ELIJAH TAYLOR}

“If you’re going to steal from the league can you at least pay for pizza?”

RACHEL/RAVEN

“Do we have to keep him?”

JASON

“He knows everything Deadshot does. He could be useful.”

GAR/BEAST-BOY

“Let’s see what’s under the mask first…”

He removes the Deadshot-mimicking outfit’s headgear to reveal a semi-scarred skinny assassin .

JASON

“Woah. I thought you be…”

RACHEL

“Older.”

ROBIN

“You’re just a twig.”

Before the group can react, the assassin flips the chair and sends Jason to his feet .

He uses the ropes to choke Jason and use him as a human shield .

Robin equips his batarang prepared to kneecap Deadshot only to find he can’t aim since Jason is directly in front of his target .

DEADSHOT

“Try it, and this little punk is going to need medical attention.”

He grips the ropes tighter causing Jason to start choking .

RAVEN

“Let him go!”

She unleashes her fury allowing Trigon to influence her further; she releases her darker self and starts to shake the furniture around the Titans .

DEADSHOT

“They warned me about you.”

He clicks a button causing an EMP to go off, causing the Titans to be surrounded in pitch black. He then rushes out of the window with Jason and parachutes them both to safety .

DEADSHOT (CON’D)

“Sorry about that. I don’t like using hostages, but survival is more important.”

JASON

“I’m going to make you sorry you ever met me. Punk.”

He swings at the mercenary only to be countered with the ropes .

Deadshot swings Jason into the building causing him to be knocked unconscious.

His villainous counterpart arrives in style with an elegant Audi.

POISION IVY {CHARLIZE THERON}

“Care for a lift?”

DEADSHOT

“Only if you don’t mind an extra passenger.”

THE GROUP RETREATS TO THE NEWLY AQUIRED DOOM PATROL HQ

DOOM PATROL HQ

Jason starts to regain conscious as he is tied to a chair .

JASON

“I suggest you let me go.”

DEADSHOT

“I’m afraid it’s not going to be that easy… waffles?”

The lights go on with a stack of fresh waffles coated in syrup and Deadshot uses his trusty knife to cut Jason lose .

POISION IVY

“Please, don’t try anything funny either.”

Two of her henchmen are stationed by the dining room in order to prevent their leverage from escaping .

POISON IVY (CON’D)

“You’re not the only group of super-freaks in town.”

JASON

“Great. A twink assassin and a walking plant. How can this day get any worse?”

DEADSHOT

“This twink kicked your ass. You hoping for round two?”

JASON

“Bring it.”

Jason swings for the assassin only to have him dodge out of the way .

He continues to violently swing at Deadshot only to exhaust himself .

After he is tired, Deadshot push-kicks him on the couch .

DEADSHOT

“I really would refresh your training.”

He tosses an Xbox controller at Jason and turns on Mortal Kombat .

JASON

“Is this a joke?”

POSION IVY

“While we work to acquire our funding back, you are to remain here as a guest.”

JASON

“Then as a guest, I’m returning back to Titan Towers.”

DEADSHOT

“You think this line of work is easy? The $50,000 you stole from me was being used to pay off mercenaries. If they realize that we have a Titan, your life-span gets cut in half.”

DEADSHOT (CON’T)

“I’m trying to make you as comfortable as possible despite your rebellious attitude.”

JASON

“I’m not the only one with an attitude problem.”

POSION IVY

“We simply wish to coexist in peace. Your band of friends hunting us down is the last thing we want.”

JASON

“Then let me return to Titan Towers and then you can forget you ever saw me.”

DEADSHOT

“You didn’t listen to a word I said, did you? If we don’t play this right, you’ll be shot before you can even make it fifty feet from this property.”

JASON

“We now? You’re not planning on keeping me hostage for more than a day, are you?”

POSION IVY

“Your stay is indefinite until we find a way to gain back our funds.”

DEADSHOT

“I have a new mark. Elasti-Girl people are calling her.”

JASON

“Don’t even think about it.”

DEADSHOT

“Would you like me to collect your bounty instead? The funds were for one titan, they didn’t specify which one.”

Jason shakes his head and reluctantly takes the waffles and plays Xbox while Deadshot and Poison-Ivy strategize .

[MEANWHILE] TITAN-TOWERS

RAVEN

“I’m sorry. I should have done more… I just felt so… dark… I felt like I could kill him...”

ROBIN

“That new Deadshot recruit is a challenge, but he’s obviously not as experienced as the original Deadshot. Don’t beat yourself up.”

GAR

“It all happened so fast, I didn’t even have time to shift.”

ROBIN

“Something is blocking Jason’s tracer. It’s probably the same equipment that he activated, some sort of EMP technology. Must be on a loop disabling any electronics in Jason's body.”

RAVEN

“How can we find him?”

ROBIN

“We draw their attention…”

GAR

“And how to you plan on doing that?”

ROBIN

“Just because his tracer is inactive, doesn’t mean that we can’t find his kidnapper…”

He pulls up the impostors file

ROBIN

“Ethan Kyle. Relative of Selina.”

RAVEN

“That explains his cat-like reflexes.”

ROBIN

“We find Selina, we’re one step closer to finding Jason...”
