May sweeps will be coming on strong on The Young and the Restless as several storylines heat up. Spoilers indicate that there will be a lot of drama to keep viewers on the edge of their seats beginning the week of May 3. Victor Newman has returned to his ruthless mode and fans of Eric Braeden are thrilled. When he forced Ashland Locke to sign the agreement before he dialed 911, longtime fans of "the mustache" knew he was back and in rare form.

After retiring from Newman Enterprises, Victor was kind of low key and viewers did not like him in the background. Fans wondered what type of trouble he could cause as he was basically just sitting on the couch at the ranch. Now there is no need to wonder anymore because he is laying all his cards on the table. When he dialed 9 and 1but refused to dial the final 1 until Ashland Locke signed the contract, his fans were thrilled.

Eric Braeden recently turned 80 and both he and his alter ego are going strong. Victor has practically threatened DA Michael Baldwin, Detective Rey Rosales, and his minions in an attempt to find and have Adam exonerated. Now he will go after Chelsea and what he proposes should put the fear of God in Ms. Lawson.

As Rey is admitting to Sharon that he might have been wrong not to listen to her about Chelsea, Victor will be putting the screws to Ms. Lawson and trying to prove that he can out con this con artist. Victor will first see Chelsea at Society where she has been eating with Chloe and Chelsea will be hobbling on a cane. When the two women arrive back at the penthouse, Victor will be there seated in the dark and say to Ms Lawson, "Nice touch" regarding her use of the cane.

This lets Chelsea know that her father in law realizes she is faking but she will insist she really needs the support in order to walk. Chelsea will not back down and will continue her charade but Victor will tire of this game and make a startling demand. In an attempt to make his daughter in law confess he will say that he is going to take her son away from her by making Chelsea lose custody. If there is anything that gets a rise out of this woman it is a threat to Conner.

Meanwhile back in Kansas, Nick will locate Adam hiding in a storm cellar and use a bean to try to break the door down. The two men will soon be trapped by a tornado. Adam will be worried about whether or not his house is still standing but Nick will insist that they get out and go back to Genoa City to save Faith's life. Adam happened to be the only family member who has the same rare blood type as Nick and Sharon's daughter and time is of the essence.

Nick will shout to his brother that Faith needs him and that they will indeed get on the plane and head back to Genoa City. Spoilers don't say what will be waiting for Adam, when he returns home. He might be allowed to save Faith's life and after he recuperates have to turn himself in. Now that Rey is considering that Chelsea pulled a fast one, will he still desire to lock up Adam and throw away the key? What will be Chelsea's decision now that Victor has backed her into a corner? Tune in next week to The Young and the Restless to find out.
