The Young and the Restless rumor mill projects tragedy

Spoilers for The Young and the Restless are projecting a possible scenario that gets Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), off of the CBS soap. Nothing has been confirmed but the rumor mill is suggesting that Rey will die. Vilasuso revealed last week that he has already filmed his final scenes but has not said how his character would exit Genoa City.

The timeline suggests that Rosales will be gone by the end of April and it is being projected that Sharon Newman ( Sharon Case) will lose her husband in a car crash. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) are on the verge of taking a road trip and a turn in events will lead Chelsea to include Rey. Some fans have pointed out that this connection is inappropriate on various levels.

Chelsea and Rey's history

Y&R viewers know Chelsea poisoned Rey in an attempt to frame Adam Newman ( Mark Grossman, She has been jealous of the bond between Sharon and Adam had while he and Chelsea were still married. It just does not look right that Rey is trying to spend time with Adam’s ex-wife and son considering how envious he has been of the relationship between the bad boy Newman and Sharon.

Rey has been standing by watching his wife in recent months growing closer to her former husband Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) as they bond with their son Noah Newman ( Robert Gibson). Now it seems Rey has been feeling like an outsider and lamenting the fact that he never had children. When his former wife Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez ) was pregnant the baby turned out to belong to Rey’s brother Arturo Rosales ( Jason Canela).

On Monday’s episode, Rey looks as if he does not belong as Sharon and Noah discuss the upcoming wedding of Mariah Copeland (Cameron Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbank). He lights up just a bit while talking to Chelsea about Conner and the Blackhawks game he has agreed to take him to.

On Tuesday Chelsea announces that she doesn’t have to go to New York for business, after all, and she is free to go with Connor to the game. Chelsea will tell Rey she still wants him to come because Connor considers him his new best friend. Some who watch The Young and the Restless feel that this came out of nowhere and if Rey does die viewers will know this was a set-up.

Jordi Vilasuso's Y&R swan song

At this point, Rey has not discussed any of this with his wife and there is no telling how Sharon will feel about it. If she has reservations she will most likely agree or Rey may go without her blessing. If all of this comes to pass as is being rumored this will place Rey, Chelsea, and Conner in the same vehicle and could be setting the stage for an accident.

Spoilers indicate that Conner will soon be traumatized so the rumor mill is projecting that a car crash will occur and Rey won’t survive. This is all speculation but it sounds plausible. Vilasuso has taped Rey’s exit so fans know that there is not enough time for a long-drawn-out situation. The cast and crew of The Young and the Restless already know what is going to happen and someone may have leaked how Rey leaves the show.

If the character dies in the manner that is being suggested this will be a horrific tragedy for Conner. His parents are not really getting along and he picks up on the tension. He has had to have therapy to deal with Adam and Chelsea not getting back together and now his new friend will die trying to spend time with him. Be on the lookout for The Young and the Restless updates that confirm or deny Jofi Vilasuso's character's swan song
