The week of April 18-22 will bring an increase in the action on The Young and the Restless and viewers will want to make sure they tune in. Change is coming and some favorite characters will find themselves in uncomfortable situations. Deception, sickness, and revelations are in store for some Genoa City residents so let's take a look at what's in store.

Ashland health crisis

Ashland Locke has been putting the screws to Jabot causing Kyle and Jack to believe he is spreading rumors about tension in the company. Previews for Monday show that he will try to play mind games with Victor Newman by reneging on his deal. In the midst of the confrontation, Ashland will grab his chest. Spoilers suggest that he is having a heart attack and might even die.

Tara, Summer, and Kyle

Summer will be stunned when she walks in on Kyle and Tara in close quarters and demanded to know what is going on. Mrs. Locke called her ex on Friday but would not tell him what had her so rattled. Skyle just got engaged again and were planning on moving forward with their wedding plans. If Ashton Locke dies, it's possible that Tara might want Kyle to be a part of his son's life. This will really cause problems with Summer and might even lead to their breaking up yet again. Kyle is going to make a confession soon and he probably will tell Jack that Harrison Locke is his son.

Victor, Nikki, and Victoria

On Friday Nikki had to broker peace between her husband and her daughter. Victor told her to stay out of it because the situation did not concern her. Nikki later told Victoria that everything that involves her family does indeed involve her. Vicki has basically declared war on her father by telling Rey that Victor might have been hiding Adam. She is jealous of her father's bond with her half brother and wants the Newman patriarch all to herself. Victor has given warnings that his daughter did not heed. He warned her to stay out of his way but she did not listen.

With Adam on the run again Victor will no doubt find a way to punish his namesake. He upbraided Victoria for bringing in Rey and reminded her that family sticks together against outsiders. Vicki is simply a chip off the old Newman block and too much like her father for him to handle. The tension will only increase and father and daughter will continue to be at odds with one another, Nikki has said that she picks her battles carefully but she will not stand for the infighting.

Rey, Sharon, and Chelsea

Chelsea got into Rey's head and convinced him that his worst fear was real. he has now decided he is done with Sharon because she always puts Adam first. Spoilers say this week Rey and Chelsea will team up to set a trap for Adam. Viewers are crying foul and say Rey should not even be investigating this case. Victor has alerted DA Michael Baldwin to his theory that Chelsea is faking her paralysis and set Adam up. Sharon believes the same and they both will do what it takes to clear Adam. In the meantime, Chloe seems to have turned on her friend and might even talk to Rey.

None of this will change how the detective feels and he will not give Sharon another chance. Although she framed him for attempted murder, Adam does not want Chelsea hurt and asked Victor to back off. The dynamic between all of these individuals is going to become pretty troublesome but eventually, Adam will be cleared. Rey might even face some type of reprimand for the way he has been handling this case. He will be infuriated to find out he was wrong about Adam but it will not send him back to his wife. Spoilers say Sharon will fight desperately to save her marriage but it might be a little too late.
