The Young and the Restless update: Kim Dunaway makes her debut in Genoa City

Soaps.com recently announced that Roxanne Hart has joined the cast of The Young and the Restless. The actress will be in the recurring role of a new character named Kim Dunaway. Soap Opera Digest says the actress will hold the key to a mystery that is unfolding in Genoa City. Kim will first appear on screen on Thursday, November 18.

The Young and the Restless news: Roxanne Hart's beginnings

If Hart looks familiar it is because she portrayed Nurse Camille Shutt on the drama series Chicago Hope. Her first television role was in 1980 as Isadora on the now-defunct ABC soap One Life to Live and the actress had roles in Broadway stage productions during the 1980s. Over the years the Roxanne has appeared in numerous primetime shows and films. Her television roles include Hylander, The Resident, Law and Order, Against the Law, Tales of the Unexpected, and Remington Steele. Among her movie credits are The Bell Jar, The Verdict, The Good Girl, Phillip Marlow Private Eye and Moonlight Mile.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Roxanne Hart's character will be involved in a major storyline

Spoilers have suggested that Kim will be involved in a major current storyline and there are two that are being mentioned. Delaney might somehow have a past with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones). It is being rumored that something might come out that sheds some light on the past and might help clear Billy Abbott (Jason Patrick) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) of the charges being filed against them. There are also reports that this new female in Genoa City will be involved somehow with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and her search for her missing husband Chance Chancellor (Conner Flynn).

Abby has left town and is for her looking for clues related to her presumed dead spouse. Not one of her family members was in favor of this move but she did it anyway. She left her son in the care of his biological father and godfather Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are hurt that she did not leave their grandson with them.

The Young and the Restless updates: Fans are shocked at Abby's behavior

Y&R viewers are troubled that Abby left her young son to go on such an excursion and are worried about her state of mind. Mariah Copeland (Cameron Grimes) is stunned that as the birth mother she was not given the chance to watch her "Bowie". Hopefully, if this is the storyline that Kim will be involved with she can lead Abby to the closure she needs so she can get her priorities straight. Conner Floyd has been hired as Phillip Chancellor IV so viewers know that Abby will not find evidence that her husband is deceased.
