Hilary’s doppelgänger is dominating the screen

Midael Morgan has returned to The Young and the Restless with a bang. Her new character, Amanda Sinclair is dominating Genoa City and there are four men who are currently obsessed with her. Spoiler alerts indicate that she had some secrets that will soon come to light but in the meantime Y&R is turning into the Amanda show. Devon has been rattled ever since this Hilary look alike came to town. Lady we he dreamed that both she and his deceased wife were talking to him. Elena is concerned for Devon’s mental state and also worries he is obsessed with Hilary’s doppelgänger.

Devon is still not convinced that Amanda was not working with Colin to steal his inheritance and this week he obtains some information that may shed light on Ms. Sinclair. It seems that Victor hired someone to investigate the lawyer and this coming week he presents Devon a dossier on the woman, who lost a deaf ringer for his deceased spouse. Victor had not been very vocal regarding his impression of Ms. Sinclair but obviously he knew something was off.

The Newman patriarch obviously had his eye on this slick attorney and was keeping the investigation under wraps. Now he feels he has enough information to pass on to the son and grandson of his good friends Katherine and Neil. Although he had not been consulted or shown on screen expressing his feelings outrage at what Colin has done, viewers know Victor Znewmsn is distressed at this turn of events. Whatever information he puts in Debon’s hands will no doubt be a game changer and give everyone more facts about Amanda Sinclair.

Nate has been fixated on Amanda more than Devon. He has bumped into her a number of times, then hired her as his lawyer. Ms. Sinclair helped Dr. Hastings keep his medical listeners and Victor was in attendance at the hearing. It was not shown on screen so viewers only know that she won the case. Nate has been contemplating asking Ms. Sinclair out but Elena keeps getting in his face. At times she seems more interested inNate than Devon.

Elena is perplexed by how fixated both her boyfriend and his cousin are with the woman who had Hilary’s face. Nate does not want to hurt Devon so he is treading carefully. Unfortunately, while Dr. Hastings is taking his time, Billy Abbott seems ready to make a move on Ms. Sinclair. The two have had several close encounters and there are several reasons they make a good fit. Billy is a gambler, loves forbidden fruit, and takes chances with romance. He dated Victoria even though her father and his brother were bitter business rivals. He slept with Phyllis while she was still married to Jack. Amanda gives him a challenge that he has not yet encountered and it makes her more appealing.

Ms. Sinclair is new in town and no one knows anything about her. She is also not well liked because of the will scandal. Billy himself is a black sheep and no doubt appreciates her kindred spirit. Although The Young and the Restless will not address the issue, Billy boy could be attracted to Ms. Sinclair because she if African American. William Abbott may be driven by curiosity along with his being bored with his current life. Spoiler alerts don’t say how far these two will go but they are definitely going to get closer. They have met several times and the chemistry is there but where it leads is anybody’s guess.

Fans of Mishael Morgan are glad she is back in The Young and the Restless but viewers don’t want her dominating the screen. Soap veterans like Paul, Michael, Lauren, Kevin, and Chloe are languishing in the background while The Amanda Show is going on. Let’s hope the writers bring a balance to Genoa City because too much of anything is not good.
