Fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are buzzing about a recent Instagram photo where Sharon Case is wearing a ring. It appears to be a diamond and is on the third finger of her left hand. This has some who enjoy the CBS soap believing the actress is engaged to her co-star Mark Grossman, although this news has yet to be confirmed. The castmates have been together for 2 years and viewers have been waiting for them to heat up the screen in Genoa City but that has not yet happened. Viewers love Case and Grossman both on and off the screen and desire to see them together in reel-time and real-time.

Spoilers have teased on many occasions that Sharon and Adam were going to hook up but the writers have not gone in that direction at least not yet. Y&R viewers became aware of the couple dating in real time in September of 2019 when Mark Grossman shared a romantic video of himself slow-dancing with Sharon Case. When Sharon celebrated her birthday in February of 2020, Mark was right by her side. When COVID hit both spoilers and the rumor mill teased that the couple would reunite on screen because they would be able to portray love scenes without social distancing.

Shaddam fans were excited and waited but it was in vain. The duo shared one steamy kiss and nothing more happened between Adam and Sharon. In February of 2021, Case seemed to be promoting a Shaddam reunion based on what she told Michael Fairman during an interview. The actress said: "True — Adam once kidnapped Faith and let her mom believe that she was dead. But “every character on the show has done terrible things to Sharon,” “We’re all guilty!”She added that Nick cheated on her, multiple times and Victor poisoned her.

Case did not mention the fact that Victor used Mariah in an attempt to gaslight her character. She is correct that all the Genoa City residents on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are guilty of something. Viewers who are excited for the couple to be dating off-screen were disappointed when Sharon went back to Rey but perhaps there is hope. Spoilers continue to tease that there may be a possibility for Shaddam to get back together. Man viewers are eager to see Grossman and Case heat up the screen with their chemistry but the writers seem reluctant to put them together.

It's really not fair for Rey to be jerked around like this. Every time he believes his marriage is back on track something else happens. Now, spoilers are suggesting that a spark might ignite between Shaddam this summer which is a disappointment for fans. The two have been on the verge of igniting this flame before but it always seems to fizzle out. Spoilers tease that Rey might find that his wife is not as committed to the marriage as he would like her to be.

Shaddam fans want the couple to be together or make a clean break. The same is true for viewers who prefer Chaddam or Shey. This back and forth is frustrating for viewers who just want their favorite couples to make a decision and stick with it. Best of luck to Mark Grossman and Sharon Case whether they are engaged or not. They are doing something off screen that their characters seem unable to handle and that is to stay together. There has been no official announcement of an engagement from the couple but social media is running with the story that they are engaged.
