Coming to Disney+ in May 2021!

A glorious day is upon us, my friends!... It's Taco Tuesday!

What kind of tacos will you be enjoying today?

Besides that, welcome back! I'm happy to have you here and I'll be bringing you another entry in our MCU journal, so let's get ten likes on this, for good measure.

Today, we'll continue to focus our attention on the pending threats currently hidden behind the curtain of Post-Endgame and with WandaVision kicking us off, we've merely scratched the surface of what's to come. Speaking of the powerful duo, last week, I discussed the importance of Wanda to Phase 4, to the Multiverse... To everything. If by chance you missed that article, I've got you covered.

But wait! There's more...

You see, Wanda isn't the only MCU character messing with time right now, in fact, I'm going to assume that her actions won't be nearly as devastating as the Person of Interest for today. A man whose gone from Villain to Anti-Hero since his introduction, the man who The God of Thunder thought dead until the lead up to the Battle of New York in The Avengers (2012). Though, I've already mentioned him above, there's nothing like a proper introduction into this, and it's only right to do The God of Lies justice in preparation of his adventure through time! So, without further ado, let's get right into our Phase 4 Mixer, featuring the one, the only, Loki Laufeyson.

During Avengers: Endgame, when The Avengers go back to 2012 to secure the Time Stone (Tesseract) after their battle with Loki & The Chitauri, however, a stair hating Hulk foils a nearly flawless, time mission. Seconds later, this moment leads to a very important event, where the 2012 version of Loki is able to escape capture.

Those agents were worthless.

The Multiverse was once again teased with Loki's departure that day and now with Phase 4 titles announced, it's clear that Time will play a much greater role in the MCU moving forward. It's been confirmed that the Loki TV Series will have a direct connection to Doctor Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness, in what capacity will be seen in May, but my belief is that the show will lead to the introduction of a major Doctor Strange villain. Since both WandaVision and Loki are direct connections to the Doctor's next mission, we need to view Loki's importance, in the same light as Wanda's. Based on what we know so far about the show, here's a couple reasons why the little Frost Giant's show is essential to the progression of the MCU.

Time Variance Authority (TVA)

Ha, I see the looks of confusion already...

Just like the name suggests, it's an organization focused on the preservation of timelines, an organization that monitors, wait for it... The Multiverse. They're responsible for keeping individuals from altering time in any way, shape, or form, so their involvement in Loki is possibly the biggest Multiverse news out there.

Someone asked, "How so...?"

The existence of TVA means the same for the Multiverse, they're one in the same at this point, wherever Loki has traveled using the Tesseract, the TVA already exists in that timeline or they come from another, so the major question is, where exactly has he traveled to make these statements true? The TVA isn't some low-level agency, they have the power to completely wipe timelines from existence, if they see fit, so with Loki manipulating timelines, there's no telling what they'll do and what his punishment will be... Anything will be better than the death at the hands of The Mad Titan (Which still happened).

Their introduction into the MCU also is a big tease for the likes of The Fantastic 4, who've had their fair share of run-ins with TVA.

Mobius M. Mobius And the Null-Time Zone

Speaking of The Fantastic 4, we're being introduced to another character in Loki, who has played a role in F4 comic series, which again, seems like a tease into future MCU projects. Owen Wilson has been cast for the role, as the man in senior management at TVA's base of operations, Null-Time Zone, a role I believe will continue even after Phase 4. In the Loki trailer, we're given glimpses of The Null-Time Zone, even catching a snippet of the Hall of Chronometry, it's the place where all universes are monitored... At all times!

The biggest reason this facility is crucial to the future of the MCU is because of the Time Cells. These cells are said to hold some of the worst time offenders in the multiverse, which leads me to believe that a certain Richard, from a future timeline... say 31st century... might be held there. Obviously, this is merely speculation on my part, but with Kang's role being confirmed for Ant-Man 3: Quantumania, I'll keep a sharp eye on Loki's travels around TVA for possible Easter Eggs, to confirm this theory.

I do believe that this will be Loki's last adventure within the MCU, as his character has done a complete 180 from the time he was introduced. Is he a good guy? No. Is he complicated? Yes. With the story now focused solely on him and his endeavors, Loki now has the opportunity to achieve his greatest desires, of course, he's got to think about what that means... But knowing him, he won't go down without first manipulating and fighting his way to the end.

It seems that the man whose known for lying, has finally told us the truth, that the sun is shining on the Asgardian, once again.
