Thomas and the Hope lookalike

This past summer, Bradly Bell announced that mannequins would be used in love scenes on The Bold and the Beautiful, due to COVID restrictions. Several actors including Thorston Kay, (Ridge) and Lawrence Saint-Victor, (Carter) have admitted kissing the dolls. Bell, the executive producer of the CBS daytime drama also teased that something more might develop where the mannequins are concerned. Viewers were alarmed and expressing concerns, but Bell did not waste any time in honoring his statement. He used the most unstable character on the show to carry out what viewers consider to be a pretty ridiculous storyline.

Fans know that Thomas Forrester stalked Hope, threatened Xander and Zoe, and chased Emma in his vehcile causing her to crash and die. He allowed Brooke and Hope to believe he fell into a vat of chemicals and died, and later got engaged to Zoe with the intention of Hope stopping the wedding. Hope is now co-parenting little Douglas with his dad and believes Thomas is trying to do better and turn his life around. Laim, however continues to tell everyone that the Forrester heir is still a nut job but cannot prove it. Now, Thomas has in his apartment a mannequin that looks exactly like Hope. He is halucianting and imagining that the doll is talking to him.

The mannequin was supposed to be a prop to promote the Hope for the Future line at Forrester Creations. Instead, she now resides in the apartment with Thomas who believes the mannequin is communicating with him and telling him how he can get Hope away from Liam. Charlie said last week that Thomas took the prop without permission but Hope seems to be OK with that because she believes it is inspirtion for his designs. She has no idea that Thomas believes the doll has been telling him that Hope wants him and not Liam, Last week the mannequin told Thomas that Liam must die.

The doll began shouting at Thomas that he must kill his rival, but so far he seems to be resisting the order. Now, according to Soaps.com, Brad Bell is going to take this dummy doll to a whole new level. Until now the mannequin has been speaking on behalf of Hope and telling Thomas things he wants to hear. This week there will be a twist to this story that viewers are not going to approve of. B&B fans are already creeped out about this turn of events and things are about to become even darker.

On Friday, the Hope doll is going to tell Thomas that she loves him. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats in anticipation that this storyline will not take a certain unnatural turn and Brad Bell will not go ina horrible direction. No one wants to see Thomas become so out of it that he tries to become romantic with the doll. There are limits to what soap fans will tolerate and this would be a horrific idea. I'm certain that with all the storylines, twists and turns in soap operas over the decades that no one could have imagined this one.

Brad Bell is probably having fun with this mannequin story, but fans are screaming, "Say it ain't so." Everyone knows Thomas Forrester has issues, and can easily become unhinged, but surely even he would not go down that particular path.Soaps.com did not indicate what would happen once Hope's clone admits her love for Thomas. It's not clear whether he will think that it's Hope he is talking to or if he understands that the look alike is a separate entity. Be sure you tune in Friday to find out what happens after the mannequin delares her love for Thomas.
