Monday Leaderboard (combining both team and individual dance scores)

James and Emma (54/60)

Lauren and Gleb (54/60)

Ally and Sasha (54/60)

Hannah and Alan (52/60)

Kel and Witney (51/60)

Karamo and Jenna (49/60)

Kate and Pasha (48/60)

Sean and Linsey (42/60)

Bottom Two: Kate and Pasha, Karamo and Jenna

Eliminated: Karamo and Jenna. Carrie Ann and Bruno would keep either/both of them by their say. After all, Karamo tied for third in individual dance scores with Kate not far behind. But Len threw his lot to save Kate and Pasha. If the last two eliminations weren't scary enough, more upsets could be very likely depending on how the front-runners get supported in votes. Will odds favor the natural talent or the hardworking underdog to the finals and the mirrorball? (Insert "Hunger Games" three-fingered salute)

Geeking Out—Individual Dances

  • Kel and Witney

Kel and Witney were treated with a jive style set to "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Adding a touch of originality, they also had snake-like costumes and danced within an enclosure that was surrounded by extras dressed like some kind of undead beings. Their dance earned them 27 out of 30, which is his personal best in the season so far. They were tied with three others for first place after the individual dances!

  • James and Emma

James and Emma waltzed to "I Put a Spell on You". Storytelling through choreography, James played a demon character who enchanted Emma, a woman in another relationship. They were one of the others who earned 27 out of 30 this round.

  • Ally and Sasha

Ally and Sasha channeled Harley Quinn and the Joker in a tango that earned another 27 out of 30. This is a step-up from last week's 25 points and third place spot. After the bottom two scare, Len claimed she had come back to life this week.

  • Hannah and Alan

Hannah and Alan jazzed up a dance to Donna Summers' "Bad Girls", telling a story of an undead beauty queen. But looks only got her tied in second place this week, earning 25 out of 30. Critiques were a little dissenting though. Len felt the performance was terrific, generously offering a nine paddle, and disagreed with Bruno's view of her movements needing to be sharper. Carrie Ann saw both points of view, elaborating that Hannah was still shy and disconnected from her movements (to which even Alan agreed in their post-performance interview with Erin).

  • Karamo and Jenna

Karamo and Jenna brought the zombie apocalypse aftermath dancing to "Survivor" from Destiny's Child. Echoing Carrie Ann's previous critiques, she claimed that Karamo opening up is an example of what she meant. His emotion was praised across the board, as was his shaping most of the critique. They earned 25 out of 30 for their individual dance, tying Hannah and Alan in second.

  • Lauren and Gleb

Lauren and Gleb got "Whatever Lola Wants" tangoing as a vampire and victim respectively. Lauren looked the part, as Bruno put it, like a bloody sexy bombshell and like Marilyn Monroe. Concerning content and character, it was plenty of what Len wanted. Likewise, Carrie Ann praised Lauren's evolution as a dancer, pointing out that Lauren had slipped, but worked well in adapting with it. Less relevant the point, Gleb also did an amazing gravity-defying/matrix-like/backwards/reverse move from the floor up at one point, but they were also part of the four-way first place tie earning 27 out of 30.

  • Sean and Linsey

Sean and Linsey jived to the quintessential Halloween song, "Monster Mash" dressed as Frankenstein's monster and wife. Where Hannah's and Alan's country samba fusion supposedly didn't mesh well last week, stocky, ambling Frankenstein's monster doing a jive was as much of an oxymoron. Sean (unfortunately) fit the part, but that was the extent of what worked. Whether it was his character or his ability execute the dance style, Bruno said the timing was behind, Len said it lacked content, and Carrie Ann said it was something only "mummies" could love. They earned 18 out of 30 with dreaded triple sixes.

  • Kate and Pasha

Kate and Pasha performed a rumba to Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf seducing one another. Some huffing and puffing must have blown down Len's house (wait, wrong story...) as he said he was blown away by the choreography and called it a knockout. Carrie Ann likewise said she was oozing a confidence unique to the latin dances and Bruno called it beautiful and haunting. They earned third place with 24 out of 30.

Geeking Out—Team dances

  • Team Trick: Hannah and Alan, James and Emma, Ally and Sasha, and Lauren and Gleb

"Team Trick" danced to "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell. Their concept and production was simple, claiming to be a twisted dinner party. Which isn't a bad thing, given Len praised a lovely and fantastic mix of choreography from different styles. Bruno called it dramatic and elegant while Carrie Ann praised it for being powerful. The team was scored with 27 out of 30, which was added to their individual scores. (Each couples' score from individual dances + 27=sum/60 point total. See leaderboard at top)

Incidentally, Team Trick makes up the majority of first and second place on collective scores, and were all between the top three based on individual scores.

  • Team Treat: Sean and Linsey, Kate and Pasha, Kel and Witney, Karamo and Jenna

"Team Treat" dance to Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams", telling a story of the females as scary being from under the bed that imprison the sleeping men. So the guys wore pajama costumes, and the girls wore Pennywise/scary clown inspired outfits. Its effort, entertainment, and fun were praised (and Kate called an MVP. She was the only female celebrity on the team.). They earned 24 out of 30 to add to their scores.
