The Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy falls for the 'Liberty Biberty' guy

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have been hoping and waiting to see Steffy Forrester get over Liam and move on. Last November there were rumors that Daniel Goddard, who had just been let go from The Young and the Restless would join the sister soap and romance Ms. Forrester. That did not pan out and the triangle between Hope, Liam, and Steffy continued in its various forms. A few weeks back, Don Diamont put up photos with Jacqueline Woods, indicating the two were on the set of the CBS daytime drama. This sparked rumors that Dollar Bill and Steffy would become an item again.

Now, according to TV Line and Showbiz 411 The Bold and the Beautiful has indeed hired a romantic interest for Ms. Forrester. It's Tanner Novlan who does that cute Liberty Mutual commercial where he messes up his lines and after he says "Liberty Biberty" they decide to dub him. Novlan will come on board when the new episodes begin airing. He will be playing a doctor, but it's not yet known if this will be a long term role. Soap vet Vincent Irizarry joined the B&B cast last year as a doctor and rumors indicated he would romance Brooke. This never happened and Irizarry was only on the soap for a short while. Steffy needs someone to help her break the cycle that has been her life for decades.

Steffy and Hope have been in a tug of war for Liam for far too many years, and now both have daughters with him. Steffy has also been intimate with Liam's father Bill, and his brother Wyatt. For whatever reason The Bold and the Beautiful likes keeping it all in the family as everyone dated or married sisters or brothers in law and even fathers in law. Tanner Novlan will be a welcome addition to the cast and a much needed diversion for Steffy. Fans will enjoy a handsome outsider who is not a part of the Forrester, Logan, Spencer clan as Steffy's new man. The big question is, how long will this character last?

The Bold and the Beautiful rarely keep newcomers around long and sticks with the immediate family members of the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer clans. Ivy Forrester left town, but Wyatt Spencer has been around for a while and does not seem like he is going anywhere. There is no information on why a new doctor will come to LA. There had been speculation that Kelly might get sick and everyone would find out that Dollar Bill is her biological father after all. Perhaps Katie will have some type of relapse and require hospitalization. Novlan could be a new pediatrician for Kelly, and this may be how Steffy meets him.

Tanner Novlan was born on April 9, 1985, and married actress Kayla Ewell on September 12, 2015. The couple has one child, a daughter named Poppy Marie Novlan. Both Novlan and his wife had roles on the CW television series Roswell, New Mexico(2019) . Tanner portrayed Gregory Manes and his wife was Nora Truman. Prior to this series Novlan had the role of Liam on the episode "Dead on Arrival" on the ABC hit Modern Family,(2009). The actor was also Zack Russell Terrier on the episode titled "Great Day for Thunder Bay" on Letterkenny, (2016). His Liberty Mutual television commercial is witty as well as entertaining.

It will be interesting to watch the reactions of various people to Steffy having a new man in her life. Both Liam and Hope could become jealous in different ways. Liam will naturally feel the loss from Steffy needing him so much. he may also not like the idea of another man in her life and being around his daughter. Hope could have mixed emotions about the situation and initially be grateful that Steffy has moved on and is no longer her rival. She will enjoy having Liam to herself but at the same time be somewhat envious of Steffy and her new man. If Tanner Novlan's character is a pediatrician, then he may be Beth's doctor as well.

This would mean that Hope will be spending time with the new doc as well, and she could also develop feelings him, An entirely new love triangle could evolve, which would be typical for the Bold and the Beautiful. In addition to Hope, Steffy, and Liam, there has also been Liam, Ivy, and Hope; Wyatt, Steffy, and Liam; Ridge, Brooke, and Bill and of course Ridge, Taylor, and Brooke. These are the most notable but there have also been others.
