Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are tiring of the daily spoilers that are only about the classic reruns that have been airing. Many viewers have been desperately wondering what will happen when the first new shows are on the air. There have been a lot of projections, speculation, and possible scenarios put out there but nothing concrete. One situation on the minds of many devotees to this CBS daytime drama is what is going to happen to Flo when the show returns with new episodes. Prior to the hiatus, Ms. Fulton found out that Dr. Escobar helped Sally fake being terminally ill. Penny panicked and picked up an object and hit Flo over the head.

As Dr. Escobar and Sally were trying to figure out what to do, Wyatt came to the door. He was about to enter as Sally and Penny were attempting to drag his unconscious girlfriend into another room. This was the final scene prior to the shutdown because of the coronavirus. Fans have been waiting for months to find out how what happens when Wyatt enters the house and how all of this will eventually turn out. Until now there have only been rumors and speculation. This is the first actual spoiler alert related to new episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and this particular storyline. Now fans finally have something they can sink their teeth into and look forward to seeing.

The Bold and the Beautiful is the only one of the four remaining soaps that is up and running. This came only after a few bumps in the road and a second start date. For those who may not be aware of it, executive producer Bradly Bell has stated that social distancing, COVID-19 tests, and hand sanitizer, will be mandatory for the cast. The crew will have to wear masks and work behind plexiglass. Regarding love scenes, there will be blow-up dolls, if necessary, along with different camera angles, and the significant others of the cast will be used for love scenes. There will also be daily temperature checks for everyone involved and now for the big reveal.

Wyatt will rescue Flo

Brad Bell recently spoke about Flo's outcome to Lynn Elber of the Associated Press who shared the interview in an article for Fortune. Bell did not mention anything specific about Sally and Penny but he did say that Wyatt would be his lady love's knight in shining armor. Dollar Bill Spencer's youngest son is going to rescue a kidnapped Flo after finding her chained to a radiator. Considering Bell emphasized that Flo was kidnapped, it's likely her captors are not going to keep her at the beach house. Wherever she is being held, the man she has adored since high school is going to be the one to rescue her and save the day.

Bell said in the interview that the scene where Flo is set free called for a big hug and a kiss and this is where a change takes place. Once Wyatt located Flo the camera stopped filming and Katrina Bowden's spouse, musician Ben Jorgensen steps in. Jorgensen replaces Darin Brooks, long enough to do the love scene but is only going to be viewed from behind. It helps that Bowden's spouse has similar features to Darin Brooks. They are similar in height and size and even have the same color hair. Viewers who are not aware of the switch might never even and assume that Brooks is doing the hugging and kissing with his wife, once Flo is set free. There are other changes that the soap actors will have to make to adjust to a new normal.

In addition to what Bradly Bell has already revealed, he added that the number of days on the set will be shorter than before. There will now be a four day work week instead of five. The cast will also work fewer hours each day and there will not be as many actors working together on the set as before. Bell admitted this will be expensive, but it is necessary in moving forward. He also shared an additional change regarding love scenes "A carefully remote off-screen actor will say their lines as their on-camera partner in the scene responds in a “low, intimate voice”.

Sally and Penny are in big trouble

The person who is in front of the camera will then engage in what Bell described as “beautiful, yearning eye contact”. They will be looking at an off-camera doll while standing on stage alone. This sounds time-consuming, and even a little ridiculous but if everyone is on board it will work. Numerous fans of the show have been snickering and making comments regarding the use of dolls and wondering if things will really go that far. The downside to all of this will be that viewers may be so consumed with trying to figure out what is going on, they might not be able to enjoy the scenes.

Fans might be focusing on whether they are looking at a doll or a significant other. Viewers could try to determine when something is real or a trick of the camera and not pay attention to the plot. While all of this is still new there will be adjustments behind the camera, on the screen, and in the homes of those who are watching The Bold and the Beautiful. Nothing has been said regarding love scenes with cast members who are not currently in a relationship. Perhaps they will be the ones to use a doll. All of this will be new and different so stay tuned for additional updates.
