Danny and Chance may soon have their hands full

The Young and the Restless fans enjoy having couples they enjoy get together despite the odds. For a while now there have been Genoa City residents who appeared to be growing closer but nothing came of it. Now there are two duo's who seem on the verge of becoming serious but they may have some opposition. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damien) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may soon find they each have two women who desire to be in their lives.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) still carries a torch for her ex-husband. She also cannot keep her nose out of her daughter Summer Abbott's (Allison Lanier) love life. Phyllis tried hard to get Summer back together with Kyle Abbott ( Michael Mealor) but that did not work out. On Monday "Red" brings up the fact that her daughter is torn between two men. She sees that Summer is conflicted about Chance and offers unsolicited advice.

Summer remains in her mother's clutches

Summer cannot stop herself from being drawn into her mother's orbit and becoming part of her schemes. Phyllis faking her own death played a role in the breakup of Summer's marriage has not taught her adult child any lessons. Although Summer os conflicted and Phyllis swears she has turned her life around the two women have set their sights on Danny and Chance.

They know that Christine Williams (Laura Lee Bell) is interested in Danny again and he is also smitten with her. Chance is in a relationship with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) but spoilers say she might become interested in Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) again.

Phyllis plants a seed

On Monday's episode, when Summer suggests she does not have a chance with the soon-to-be ex-GCPD Detective Phyllis tells her daughter that nothing is unattainable.

Later the mom and daughter walk through the door of the Athletic Club to find Christine has pulled Danny into a lip lock and he is kissing her back. Summer looks over at her mother to watch her reaction and Phyllis seems shocked and hurt. Earlier she had insisted that she has changed her wicked ways but Y&R fans are not buying it. Looking on as the woman she hates most in the world is kissing the man she may be falling in love with again is difficult.

From the looks on their faces, both Summer and Phyllis may find themselves intervening. earlier spoilers suggested Nick's daughter might attempt to play matchmaker between him and Sharon so she can have Chance all to herself. Any moves Phyllis makes like calling on Danny and seeming to need him will raise red flags. She will have to be subtle because Christine is already on guard against her.

Will Phyllis and Summer make a move?

Everyone knows there is bad blood between Phyllis and Christine but would the redhead seduce Danny as she did decades ago just to break them up? Summer was sneaky in trying to get Kyle away from Lola Rosales ( (Sasha Cale) but she was young and becoming a mother to Harrison seems to have matured her. Will these two revert to their former methods or can they be strong enough to remain above board?

Be on the lookout for spoilers, breaking news, and updates related to Summer and Phyllis, Danny, and Chase to find out what happens next. Will Christine and Sharon hold onto their men or lose them to the mother- daughter duo? Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless to find out how far Summer and Phyllis are willing to go to get the men they desire.
