Shemar Moore has a new passion

Shemar Moore is a popular actor and soap veteran who recently made a statement that echoes the sentiment of other famous entertainers in recent years. He expressed his enjoyment of voicing cartoon characters as he recently lent his voice to Randall the Rhino in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film.

Moore has had an amazing career with movies like Madea Diary of a Mad Black Woman, The Bounceback, Reign of the Supermen, and Mama Flora's Family. He hosted Soul Train. and starred in popular daytime and primetime series.

The actor was in Criminal Minds, S.W.A.T., and was wildly popular as Malcolm Winters in the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless. In spite of all of these accomplishments Shemar said his family members say that Sonic is his best role yet and he agrees.

Sonic reigns

Video game enthusiasts know the blue hedgehog has been one of the most popular games for the Sega Genesis console. Sonic the Hedgehog has been a hit gaming series from the moment it debuted in 1991, Parents along with their young children and teens enjoyed the antics of the fast-moving blue animal. Voice work gives actors a way to stretch themselves and become a different persona totally off-screen. Voicing animated characters also probably brings out the kid inside.

The silver screen appearances of the character have catapulted him into levels of popularity that previously had yet to be realized. Thus far the second film in the series, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 ( debut April 8, 2022) has grossed $71 million after its first weekend and is poised to keep climbing. Voice acting for animated films is big business and a number of actors have said it tops previous accomplishments.

Although Sonic is a huge success not every fan is ccomfortable going back inside of movie theaters, because of the ong COVID-19 pandemic. Some fans have bern asking about other watch options for Sonic because a number of other films have simultaneously opened in theaters and also streaming releases. There are options for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for those who want to view it in the comfort of their homes. The film can be streamed on HBO Max, IMDb, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Voiceovers are growing in popularize

Voice acting used to be something celebrities did on the side and it was no big deal but now many actors are actually expressing that they are proud of their voiceovers and say it as though it carried an air of prestige. Some of this may be due to the noteriety of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen’s success as the voices of Woody and Buzz Lightyesr in the 4 films from the Toy Story franchise. Shemar Moore’s family enjoying his behind the scenes work as Randall the rhino speaks to a change in our culture. Celebrities now via for voice work the same way they once were in competition for traditional roles.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a live action-adventure film and the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog which was released in 2020. The movie was directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Josh Miller, Pat Casey, J and John Whittington. In addition to Moore, Ben Schwartz reprised his role as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog. The film also stars Adam Pally, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Jim Carey, Natasha Rothwell, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, and Idris Elba. The film follows Sonic ( and Miles Tails (voiced by O'Shaughnessey), who team up to find the Master Emerald before Dr. Robotnik. Moore’s character Randall the rhino is the tritagonist of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and he accompanies Sonic and 'Tails' during their adventures.
