Sally Spectra is back and in rare form on ‘ The Young and the Restless’

Courtney Hope fans were disturbed at the way her character was tarnished before she was written out of The Bold and the Beautiful. Sally Spectra was reduced to pretending she was dying in an attempt to get Wyatt Spencer to take her back. She a walker and even put on white makeup so she would look pale. Many viewers were troubled that the once fiery redhead had become a shell of her former self. On Monday, Sally turned up on The Young and the Restless and her transformation was amazing. Ms. Spectra’s beautiful red mane was full and flowing. She was dressed like an executive, spoke like a professional, and radiated confidence. This self-assured Sally was nothing like the insecure schemer that left the LA fashion scene.

On The Young and the Restless Sally will be working with Lauren Fenmore Baldwin with whom she already had a connection. Ms. Spectra also ran into Theo and it turns out they hung out together in New York. This obviously would have been around the time that Kyle and his cousin were partying in the Big Apple. Perhaps Sally also knows Kyle which would naturally irritate Summer. On Wednesday Summer did her best to paint a bad picture of Theo for Sally and warned Ms. Spectra that she should leave him alone. Sally said that she has dealt with Theo’s type before and she can handle herself.

It looks like Genoa City is going to see a sophisticated and self assured Sally who is purpose driven. On The Bold and the Beautiful Ms. Spectra was always trying to prove herself and being seen as the underdog. Spoilers indicate that on Y&R Sally will have an agenda but no details have been given yet. She will also be trying to keep her sordid past hidden from those in Genoa City. For those who don’t know, Sally is the niece of the original Sally Spectra who was portrayed by the late Darlene Conley on The Bold and the Beautiful. Sally showed up in LA trying to revive her aunt's fashion house. She panicked and stole designs from Forrester Creations and passed them off as her own.

Sally was dating Thomas Forrester but he broke her heart, not once but twice. She ended up in the crosshairs of Dollar Bill Spencer who took her business away from her and left her with nothing. Sally disappeared for a while then ended up living on the beach near Wyatt’s home. He invited her to stay with him and they soon became a couple they were doing great. Sally was also working at Forrester Creations until Wyatt’s high school sweetheart came to town. He hooked up with Flo again and dumped Sally who became obsessed with winning him back. This is when she came up with the idea to pretend she only had months to live.

Sally became depressed, distressed, devious, and in the end, defeated. She looked worn and haggard and fans wondered what the writers were trying to do to the character. The woman who showed up in Genoa City this week looked absolutely nothing like the one who was run out of LA. Soaps.com indicates that on Tuesday, November 9 Sally will have some drama with Summer. The two have already had the conversation about Theo so it may be regarding Mr. Vanderway again. There is also the chance that it could be related to Kyle. The spoiler says Sally will be making impressions all over Genoa City but that Summer will not think favorably of the redhead.

Viewers who enjoyed Courtney Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful should be elated that she is now on The Young and the Restless. It looks like in Genoa City, Sally Spectra will shine in a way that never happened while she was in LA. Look forward to Sally working with Laureen as well as making an impression on others who are on Y&R.
