Ryan Paevey and Ashley Williams remain faithful to Hallmark

Fans of Ryan Paevey who portrayed Nathan West on General Hospital are always discussing his possible return and spoilers have even projected scenarios for his showing up alive and well in Port Charles. The actor has said on more than one occasion that he is open to making a return to the ABC soap and not long ago Hallmark fans were concerned he might already have done just that.

When Ryan did not announce that he was filming a holiday film and was not one of the actors who went to the GAC channel the rumors began. Hallmark fans were troubled and General Hospital viewers were hopeful that Paevey had returned to ABC daytime.?It turns out that the popular actor and fellow soap vet Ashley Williams (Danielle Andropoulos) As the World Turns) we’re working on the Hallmark feel-good movie Two Tickets to Paradise which debuted on Saturday night June 25th.

Ashley Williams has been in more than 150 episodes of various television series and starred in numerous films for ABC Family, Hallmark and Lifetime. She and Paevey work well together and fans are glad that neither actor took the leap to the Great American Country Network.

Summer Nights are hot on Hallmark

The Summer Nights films began the first Saturday in June and Two Tickets to Paradise was number four. These movies bring summer fun and romance to te viewers who can’t get enough. This particular film turns a double wedding-day disaster and into a romance that takes place in luxurious Hawaii. Paevey spoke about the film with Soaps In Depth and said the following.

”It’s about two folks who start out unlucky in love,” “We’re both getting married on the same day — not to each other — and get stood up. We end up at the same park on the same bench, lamenting our situations. She’s talking about all of this stuff she was looking forward to, drinking champagne and the honeymoon… And I’m like, ‘Well, you can still go on the honeymoon.’ She’s like ‘I’m not going to go by myself.’ Why not? Just go!”

You don’t need a spoiler to figure out how this movie ends but it’s worth watching all the same. Paevey did not mention upcoming projects but General Hospital viewers still would like to see Nathan turn up to stop Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) from getting involved with Austin Gatlin Holt( (Roger Howarth). Maxie and Austin still remain in the friend zone and as a couple they are losing their appeal for many GH fans. In the meantime Paevey’s Hallmark devotees are you ccited to see him on the screen with Williams.

Hallmark maintains an audience

Daytime television is now pushing the boundaries that once were censored and X rated cable and streaming services abound. Even so there is still a huge market for Hallmark films which remind many of Harlequin novels that are romantic but not pornography. Family friendly television always has an audience and Hallmark fans are loyal. Sorry General Hospital Paevey fans it looks like Hallmark won this round but perhaps ABC can work out a deal with Paevey where he can do both if the opportunity presents itself.

Cameron Matthison who portrays Drew Cain on GH was in Canada filming for Hallmark prior to taking on the role on the soap. He will soon be off the screen again while filming a Christmas movie for the network. Be on the lookout for spoiler alerts and updates for what comes next for Ryan Paevey and Ashley Williams with Hallmark and or other projects.
