Fans of The Young and the Restless have become disillusioned with the current storyline surrounding Adam Newman. Viewers want Chelsea revealed as the one who poisoned Rey and for Victor's youngest son to return to Genoa City. Those who watch the CBS daytime drama are also frustrated that lately, Rey Rosales has been proving himself to be a disappointment as a detective. Viewers have expressed outrage on social media at the detective's unethical behavior and the fact that Rey has allowed himself to be conned by Chelsea.

Sharon’s husband has not heeded any of her warnings about the woman who spent her early life as a grifter. As a member of the GCPD Rey should ber exhibiting better skills of discernment. A number of Y& R fans have even suggested that Detective Rosales be stripped of his badge because he cannot be objective where Adam is concerned. Other viewers said Paul Williams or someone else should be on the case and that Sharon’s husband should not be investigating his own poisoning.

Victor has also told Rey that he is being scammed by Chelsea but again the detective has refused to listen. His hatred of Adam and desire to see him behind bars has overruled any chance of Sharon's spouse being objective. When the entire truth is made known Rey might have to re-evauate whether or not he needs to take some time off from the GCPD.

According to spoilers from Soap Opera Spy, things are about to shift and Rey Rosales will soon shake the fog that has been clouding his judgment. He is going to realize that Sharon was making a valid point all along but it may come too late to save his marriage. By the time Rey lines up all the facts, he may find that Sharon will not forgive him because he did not trust her from the beginning. Clearing Adam and prosecuting Chelsea might be what ends the Rosales marriage.

Soap Opera Spy indicates that Rey's spidey senses will come back to him and he will ponder all that his estranged wife has been telling him. The detective will consider that Chelsea is a con and has been pulling the wool over his eyes. He will devise a plan, without her knowledge, in order to catch her and beat her at her own game. Chelsea believes that she has the upper hand and did not listen to Chloe who warned her that her plan could fail. Now, if spoilers are correct it seems all her plans are about to unravel.

Rey is going to obtain a warrant and place surveillance in Adam's penthouse. He will say that he wants to catch the prodigal Newman should he return home, which sounds logical. Spoilers indicate that what Rey will really be doing is setting up Chelsea because the video footage will also reveal her activities inside the penthouse. No one knows the extent of Ms. Lawson's recovery except Chloe and she has walked out on her BFF because she does not want to go down with the sinking ship.

Last week Rey was so desperate that he wanted to bring Conner to Genoa City and pretend that he was ill in order to trap his father. Chelsea quickly shut this down by telling the detective that he is one of the good guys and that her son would be traumatized by this experience. Spoilers don't reveal what makes Rey change his attitude but it could be he realizes he went too far when he suggested using Adam's son as bait. Be sure to stay tuned to The Young and the Restless and find out if Chelsea gets caught in the act of walking around her home.
