Rey and Chelsea use Conner as bait for Adam on 'The Young and the Restless'

Shared hatred for Victor's youngest son and anger towards Sharon push the duo to make rash decisions.

Fans of The Young and the Restless are still questioning the fact that Rey Rosales is investigating his own poisoning. If the writers are not going to bring Paul Williams back then there need to be others at the Genoa City Police Department who can look at the evidence with a clear head. This coming week Rey is going to make even more unethical decisions because he is thinking with his heart and not a detective's instinct. He let Chelsea into his mind and now he agrees that Sharon will always put Adam first.

Rey is desperate for answers and hopes all roads lead to a conviction for Adam. Chelsea wants Conner's dad locked up and the key is thrown away. She is hoping that she and her son can live a life free from Victor and Adam but should know by now that is not possible. Victor always wins and continues to have access to his grandchildren. In spite of this Chelsea will team up with Rey and devise a plant to trap Adam using his son. Detective Rosales really needs to lose his job over this case but he seems to be the only person working for the GCPD at this time. Victor has warned DA Michael Baldwin about what is going on and asked him to remove Rey from investigating Adam. Michael did not quite grasp the gravity of the situation and so far has done nothing.

Rey should be paying more attention to the fact that Chelsea had a miraculous recovery at just the right time. Her first words were to implicate Sharon in knowing where Adam was hiding. Victoria interjected herself into the situation when she suggested to Rey that her father was hiding her half brother. Adam can no longer trust Sharon to keep his secrets so he is basically on his own if he does not reach out to his father again.

Paul needs to handle Rey

Detective Rosales should not be working with a civilian to solve a case, especially a scorned woman like Chelsea Lawson. Sharon and Victor saw through her facade and now Chloe has stopped helping her. Rey, however, is so determined to bring Adam down that he is ignoring all warning signs. Spoilers have not detailed how Conner will be used to trap his father or whether or not Adam will fall for the bait. Chelsea did talk to her son via video chat last week which is an indication the child is back on the show. What is known for a fact is that Chelsea is ignoring the fact that her BFF walked out on her and that Victor is on to her and will continue pushing her narrative without considering her plan is coming unraveled.

Spoilers have said that in time Adam will be vindicated which means that others in Genoa City may be in big trouble. Adam told Victor that he did not want Chelsea harmed but she did break the law. If she does not go to jail she might be forced into a mental health facility, Chloe's role in this situation might come to light which will cause problems for her and Kevin. She might even face some charges herself. Rey should be reprimanded or put on leave for his unethical behavior but even if he is not he will suffer.

Rey, Billy, and Victoria all hate Adam and will not like the truth when it comes out. They wanted Adam to be guilty and will be distressed to find out he has been exonerated. Chelsea will probably have a meltdown when her plan fails and probably really does need some therapy. She is a con artist but this time her scam is not going to work. Shaddam fans are hoping at the end of all of this that Sharon and Adam will finally be together. Rey told his wife last week that they were over but this is not written in stone. Adam still has empathy for Chelsea so there is no telling where these couples are headed. Be sure to tune in to The Young and the Restless this coming week and watch all of this drama unfold.
