Prince Michael Jackson II Today

Michael Jackson made headlines when he held his youngest son over a balcony with a blanket over his face. The world watched in awe and some people were amused while others were horrified. The child whose nicknames were Bigi and Blanket is now an adult and has allegedly been kept under close guard by the Jackson estate since his famous father passed away on June 25, 2009.

When it comes to celebrities we know we must take what we read with a grain of salt because often stories are made up or exaggerated in order to sell papers or get hits on the Internet. As I researched Michael Jackson's youngest son I took notice that some information seemed to conflict with other reports but that's the way of the world with the rich and famous.

After Michael Joseph Jackson departed this life the entire world mourned and there was an outpouring of compassion for his three young children. The youngest son has not been seen much in public during these past 12 years but he recently made two public appearances so to speak. It has been reported that he no longer wants to be referred to as Blanket and prefers the nickname Bigi. It had been reported that he likes to keep a low profile and that his last known public appearance was said to have been on December 23 2018.

If true, then all of that recently changed as the 19-year-old, whose real name is Prince Michael Jackson II and was born February 21, 2002, was pictured in Calabasas. One article said this was near the mansion of his grandmother Katherine Jackson where he also lives. Other reports say Prince II purchased his own 2 million dollar home in Calabasas and it has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

The older siblings of Prince Michael II, are Paris Katherine Jackson , and Michael Joseph Prince Jackson. They seem to enjoy time in the spotlight, and have given interviews in the past. Michael Jackson's youngest son, however, allegedly has been kept hidden away by his family. He is also reportedly banned from having his own social media accounts which seems strange for a 19 year old who according to the law is an adult. If these precautions were or are being taken there is probably a good reason considering the notoriety of the Jackson family. There may have been threats against his life or even a kidnapping plot. He could also be targeted simply because of his famous father.

A 2019 article in The Mirror said that Prince Michael's image is closely vetted before it can be released to the public. If this was the norm at that time then something has changed and the young man has decided to make his own decisions. According to Style Magazine, the youngest child of the king of pop gave a rare interview on November 1 where he discussed climate change as well as his older brother and sister.

The interview with Prince Michael II took place on Good Morning Britain and he did another one at the Jackson family’s Hayvenhurst Estate in Los Angeles where he took the audience on a virtual tour. Bigi as he was referred to in the article said that this home is rich in history and that he and his sibling want to follow in their father's footsteps. Although Paris is embarking on a singing career like her famous dad her brother is talking about Jackson's children doing things that benefit the lives of others as their father did. During the Good Morning Britain interview, Prince II said that he enjoyed any time he got to spend with his siblings now that they are older.

In the image above Bigi looks happy and well-rounded and seems to be doing well. This should dispel and false rumors that he is being hidden away. As mentioned earlier if he was secluded, these two interviews show that he is now out and about in the public and handling it well.
