Popular daytime stars have a Fireside Chat with Soap Hub this summer

If you are a soap fan who is tired of reruns and desire fresh information, then Soap Hub has some good news just for you. This summer they will be hosting fireside chats with some of your favorite daytime actors. The resurgence in COVID-19 has delayed new episodes yet again for the four remaining soaps. The Bold and the Beautiful started up but may have to shut down once again. The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, Abe Days of Our Lives barely got started. A new wave of COVID-19 could delay things even longer. While they have been waiting, many viewers are no longer interested in the classic flashbacks and are tiring of older shows. Fans long for something new and different to watch and desire new episodes.

Soap Hub is offering a free 14 day trial and opening up the chats by the fireside with daytime television lovers. Everyone, however, can enjoy the mid-summer fireside chats free without signing up for anything. Reynolds has portrayed Abe Carver on Days of Our Lives for 40 years and was only off show for two short stints. On July 27, One Life to Live and Passions actress McKinzie Westmoreland.

In August The Young and the Restless stars Daniel Goddard, Eva Larue, and Melody Scott Thomas will be by the fireside. Larue was also on the now-defunct One Life to Live. Goddard let go from his Y&R role last year and Thomas is one half of power couple Victor,(Eric Braeden and Niki Newman). The coronavirus has turned the soap world upside down with taping shutting down in March. At this point, the only show that is currently taping is The Bold and the Beautiful. This could change, however if the spikes in COVID-19 continue and sheltering in place is required once more. The following are some facts about these four soap stars that you may or may not already be aware of.

Eva Larue was born in Long Beach, California to Luis and Marcie LaRue and began acting at age 6 and was a teenage beauty queen. Her ancestry includes French, Puerto Rican, Scottish and Dutch. She began modeling after high school and even worked for Frederick's of Holliwood. In addition to her work on daytime television, she was the cohost of Candid Camera from 1991-1992. She portrayed Annette Funicello in a biographical movie and was Princess Seren in Danielle Steel's television movie Remembrance. Larue also appeared in Fuller House on Netflix as the wife of Danny Tanner.

James Reynolds was born in Oskaloosa, Kansas. While attending Washburn University in Topeka, he joined the theater department because he was told it was the best place to meet girls. Along the way, he found out he enjoyed acting. Reynolds was named to the list of the most famous people from Kansas and shares the honor with former president Dwight Eisenhower. Barry Sanders, Amelia Earheart, and Langston Hughes.

Melody Thomas Scott was because rn in Los Angeles and has been acting since childhood with her father eat film credit in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1964 thriller, Marnie. She also appeared with Clint Eastwood in 1971 in The Beguiled. She als had roles in The Walton’s, Charlie’s Angels and The Rockfish rd Files. She has been married to Edward Scott since 1985, but previously wed and divorced Lindy Davis in 1979 and married Bob Shield in 1980.

Mackenzie Westmoreland was born in the San Fernando Valley and in addition to her soap roles she has been on the television programs Friends, Dexter, and Faceoff. Westmoreland has an uncredited role in 2980’s Raging Bull as Jakes daughter.

Bradley Bell the xecutive producer of The Bold and the a beautiful has shared info on one storyline for that soap. In a recent interview he says that Wyatt would find Flo chained to a radiator and rescue her. The Young and the Restless revealed that Sharon, Adam, Nick, and Chelsea would be involved in the first new episodes and Eric Braeden confirmed on Facebooks that Victor will be immediately involved. He even posted a photo of himself wearing a mask and standing in front of the CBS studio. Kristen Alphonso has said that she is leaving Days and f Our Lives and her last scenes will air prior to new episodes being taped. General Hospital however has not revealed any details.The only news from that show is from Soap Dirt who said that two (unnamed) female cast members tested positive for COVID-19.
